Denise Richards is in danger of losing her precious ponies over a dispute with an equestrian center, and the actress is even enlisting the help of Charlie Sheen to help save the animals.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Richards is accused of falling back on stable fees to Cross Creek Farm, an equestrian center in Malibu.
Richards' two horses, Lily and Hansel live at Cross Creek, and according to the company owe $47,667.05. The boarding agreement states that the actress was to pay $2,300 per month as a stable fee and for maintenance, but Cross Creek claims she hasn't ponied up the dough in quite some time.
Now Cross Creek wants to sell Lily and Hansel to the highest bidder to get back the money they claim they're owed. According to the contract Richards signed, it appears the center has a provision to place a lien on the owner and sell the animals if they don't get paid.
Sources close to the "Blue Mountain State" star tell The Blast "The barn people have been completely unreasonable," and that Richards has been trying to make payments but claims Cross Creek is refusing to accept payments or turn over the horses.
We're told even Charlie Sheen has gotten involved to help save the animals but the center is not budging. Sources close to the situation also believe Cross Creek is in violation of their agreement by allegedly allowing other riders to mount Lola and Hansel.
