Tamar Braxton and Jeremy' JR' Robinson have ended their engagement after six months together!
The estranged couple who found each other on the reality dating series "Queens Court" are now over, with Robinson breaking the news with a controversial statement on Monday.
However, Braxton might have hinted that things weren't thriving in their paradise just days ago.
Jeremy Robinson Broke Up With Tamar Braxton To Focus On 'Positive Energy
Following weeks of speculations by fans given that the last time the "Love and War" songstress posted her man, Robinson finally broke his silence on the state of their relationship.
"So many questions, so many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes. Tamar and I are no longer together," the attorney began his statement on his Instagram Story. As for why they called it quits, Robinson revealed:
"I ended the relationship to focus on returning to positive energy and being a better person. What happened and why — that's our private place."
Answering the big question of whether infidelity played a role in their separation, Robinson confirmed that wasn't the case. "No. I didn't cheat. No. I wasn't there at her mother's place when her car got burglarized," he added.
The reality star declared he wasn't with the iconic singer because he wanted to be as famous. "Who reveals the most embarrassing moments in their life to find fame? He questioned. Robinson explained that he has always mingled with famous people thanks to his work as an attorney. He also noted that he thrived mentally and financially when he began dating Braxton.
After turning it down multiple times, the 48-year-old maintained that he joined "Queens Court" — the Peacock dating series where he and Braxton got engaged. "Ultimately, I fell in love, and it didn't end how I wanted it...So, I want to heal."
Concluding the informing message, Robinson wrote, "Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
While Robinson seems to be the only one who has publicly addressed their failed engagement, days before his revelation, his now-former fiancée shared a cryptic post that hinted at trouble.
"When people are calculated and mean, the Lord will surely deal with you 🤷🏽♀️," she wrote in a September 30 tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Braxton Praised Robinson For Giving Her 'Traditional Love'
Fans may recall that the "Braxton Family Values" star shared the news of her surprise engagement to Robinson on Instagram in March. In the now-deleted post, which also marked her 46th birthday, she shared a heartwarming video of her and Robinson enjoying drinks at a restaurant.
"It's my birthday, but I have to post the one who puts this cheesy smile on my face," she wrote. "It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, Traditional love is the kind I wanted and needed."
Addressing the rumors about Robinson having children from four different women, Braxton noted she loved their blended family of six children before adding, "We are blessed And drama. Thank God for my best friend, life partner, and fiancée @rarebreednola. The happiest birthday to me ever, my ❤️ don't miss our love story on @peacock #queenscourt."
In a subsequent interview, the four-time Grammy nominee claimed she and Robinson connected over their shared grief. The singer lost her older sister Traci Braxton in 2022 to cancer; the lawyer also lost his mother.
Opening up about their connection, Braxton said on an episode of "Queen's Court," "I knew I was different than my siblings. I prayed for somebody to understand me, not look at me and my flaws, and accept me for who I am. And then I met you [Robinson]. And then I saw everything I ever prayed for as a child."
She continued, "I thought that I just needed love. I didn't. I needed a friend. And you've been that for me."
During the proposal, Robinson declared that he didn't just want to be a "friend" but also a husband to Braxton. "Tamar, I'm here forever because I don't see my life without you. I love you, Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me"?
Braxton has a nine-year-old son, Logan, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Vincent Herbert. She was also previously engaged to Nigerian actor David Adefeso before they ended things due to domestic violence.
