Inside Jennifer Lopez & Jennifer Garner's Complicated Relationship With Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is supportive of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's "happy co-parenting" arrangement, despite a rumor that Lopez is "absolutely furious" about Affleck and Garner's friendly interaction.

Affleck's happiness with Lopez is said to have contributed to his improved relationship with Garner, with whom he shares three children. The co-parenting situation is described as very happy, and the couple is looking forward to returning to work as the writer and actor strike ends. 

Ben Affleck was recently spotted looking cozy with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. The former couple were photographed together in Affleck's Mercedes-Benz, with him leaning on Garner's shoulder as she hugged him.

The "Pearl Harbor" Co-stars were married in 2005 and welcomed their first child, Violet, that year, followed by Seraphina in 2009 and Samuel in 2012. Although they announced their separation in 2015, they didn't finalize their divorce until three years later. After their divorce, Affleck reignited his romance with Jennifer Lopez.

Following Affleck and Garner's sighting together, there were reports of the "Jenny from the Block" singer being "absolutely furious" over the "Deep Water" actor's interaction with Garner, but according to Daily Mail, sources say there's no animosity between them. In fact, the "Ain't Your Mama" hitmaker is said to support their "happy co-parenting" arrangement.

According to insiders close to the couple, Affleck's newfound happiness with Lopez has apparently contributed to his improved relationship with Garner.

"One of the things that made [Garner] and [Affleck] get to a better place was - and is - JLO," the insider revealed. "Ben is healthy. The drama of the past and the emotions of divorce are long gone and they are all making it work."

Per the insider, Lopez and Garner have a friendly relationship, and their children have a strong bond. Their co-parenting situation is described as very happy, and the source added, "Everything is really good right now and should be the same in the near and distant future."

The source also disclosed that Affleck and Lopez, who got married last July, are "very much in love with each other" after one year of marriage. The insider described her relationship as "still on fire." 

"They are really happy with each other, and there's no drama in their relationship right now at all."

Per the insider, the celebrity couple have cherished the extra time spent together in recent months and are looking forward to returning to work as writer and actor strikes end. "[Affleck] is writing, JLO is writing music, so they still have outlets to create while they enjoy each other's time together."

Additionally, the insider revealed that Lopez seeks advice from the "Argo" star on co-parenting with her ex, Marc Anthony. They claimed, "JLO and Ben have had many talks about how she deals with [Anthony], and they all have been able to figure it out. It is actually inspiring and nice to see."

Lopez recently attended New York Fashion Week without her husband, Affleck. According to an insider who spoke to Heatworld, the "Hustlers" actress "has stopped acting so needy and started to enjoy the space they have had lately. It's opened her eyes to how much fun she can have without Ben – especially as he can be such an awkward bore at these events."

The source added, "She'll spend time with him soon enough, but catching up with her family and fashion friends on the East Coast has been a breath of fresh air."

Regarding Affleck's absence at star-studded events like Fashion Week, the insider suggested that the "Gone Girl" actor might not be comfortable around such crowds.

"These are the people who Ben would roll his eyes at and cross the street to avoid, but Jen loves sipping cocktails with the fash-pack without worrying that [recovering alcoholic] Ben will disapprove or be tempted," the insider explained. "It's done them the world of good and she's not missed him one little bit!"
