Kameron Westcott is supporting her father-in-law Carl Westcott in his ongoing legal battle against singer Katy Perry.

The "Dark Horse" singer and her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, reportedly acquired an eight-bedroom estate in Montecito, California in July 2020 for $15 million. However, shortly after finalizing the deal, Carl, who was the previous owner, claimed to have changed his mind about the sale, leading to a lawsuit.

As the legal battle over the prestigious California home officially goes into the trial, Kameron abandoned her other duties to be physically present. The "Real Housewives of Dallas" star informed fans of the decision in a series of social media uploads that included a clip and throwback snaps from Carl's days as a war veteran.

Kicking off the show, she uploaded a selfie of herself in a pink blazer, white top, and blue bottoms, alongside the text, "In LA to support our Captain ? We love you Carl ?? Thank you to everyone who has been keeping us in your thoughts."

Next, she shared a clip of her donning a gorgeous purple collared shirt, a perfect face beat, and a Los Angeles, California location tag. She began by noting that it was "day one in court," and she and her husband, Court Westcott, were there to "fight for justice" for her father-in-law. The 40-year-old continued:

"And we'll see what happens. We are here though standing strong, we're not afraid and we hope that justice will be served for my father-in-law. He deserves it."

Kameron then lauded Carl for being an "amazing man" that "has done so many amazing things in his life," and "has so many accomplishments." The reality star concluded:

"He doesn't deserve to be in this position, especially when he's on his deathbed. It is absolutely heartless that he has to go through all this. So, it is trial day one. Wish us luck.

The reality television star proved Carl was really on a deathbed with an image of her and her kids — Hilton and Cruise — posing next to him on it. She then uploaded a vintage shot of her "amazing father-in-law at age 5" when he was living "with no running water in extreme poverty in Vicksburg Mississippi."

The Instagram Story which she stated that she "had to share" because "he's so adorable," was followed by another throwback photo featuring the Californian resident in his combat uniform and gear. At the bottom of the post, she explained:

"Carl Westcott. Member of 101st Airborne Division. He helped protect the children at Little Rock 9 to help with integration."

Prior to Kameron's posts, The Blast had reported that Carl requested that the transaction between him and Katy be invalidated due to his alleged lack of mental capacity to comprehend the nature and likely consequences of the sale.

The 84-year-old maintained that he never listed the property for sale and did not engage with any real estate broker regarding its sale. He further emphasized that, during that period, he was in no condition to negotiate deals.

As it turned out, he had been prescribed at least two opiate medications for pain, which he took multiple times each day following his hospital discharge. His statement of action further declared:

"The combination of his age, frailty from his back condition and recent surgery, and the opiates he was taking several times a day rendered Mr. Westcott of unsound mind."

Carl is said to have bought the home just two months before it was poached by Katy and Orlando.

Katy Perry Was Slammed For Another Home Dispute Case

While the outcome of this current dispute has not yet emerged, the case is reminiscent of a previous court drama involving the "California Girls" hitmaker. In case you missed it, she had gone to court when her offer to buy the Loz Feliz convent was opposed by two former residents.

The opposition led the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to file a lawsuit against the two elderly nuns in support of the award-winning artist's bid to purchase the property. After many years of back-and-forth, Katy ultimately won the suit and acquired the 8-acre estate for $14.5 million.

Unfortunately, during this time one of the nuns, Sister Catherine Rose Holzman, passed away. And upon hearing of Katy's latest "house stealing" debacle, her nephew Brian Holzman chipped in his two cents.

Per The Blast, he still believes that Katy's actions were a factor in his aunt's passing and wasn't surprised to see her in the news again for a property dispute. In his words:

"It sounds like she is at it again. She is who she is, and she's going to do what she's going to do. It's all about money and greed!"
