Fans Reject Bethenny Frankel's Claims Of Taylor Swift Putting Travis Kelce On The Map

Bethenny Frankel is doing her thing — stirring the pot — with her latest comments about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

The reality TV star asserted that the pop sensation was pivotal in elevating the NFL player's fame. Frankel's bold statement has sent shockwaves through the sports world, prompting fervent discussions among die-hard fans. 

Taking to her Instagram page, the mother-of-one started off her video by saying that if people were not engaging with content related to "triggering" their male partner using Kelce's content on TikTok, they were missing out on something.

Calling it "my favorite thing I've ever seen," she found it funny that women were "intentionally torturing their life partners." The 52-year-old pointed out that the 33-year-old was relatively unknown to them, crediting Swift for making him more popular. In her words:

"It's not only that she put him on the map, she drew the map, she charted the course that we're going to take when we utilize the map, and she took him like a claw in the arcade as a toy and put him on the map. That's how we really feel. Never heard his name in my whole life."

In the caption, the entrepreneur admitted, "Travis is undeniably a nationally renowned football star and superbowl star who many of us have just discovered. Taylor is a global superstar that has unparalleled fame." She pointed out that while it was all so funny some "people are VERY TRIGGERED which is entirely stupid LOL." 

However, NFL fans did not find her post funny, and many disagreed, arguing that Kelce was already a superstar before he started dating the singer. "Omg no she didn't put him on the map!!!!" one annoyed fan began. 

They also listed his achievements starting with, "He is a 2× Super Bowl champion, 4× First-team All-Pro selections (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022), 3×Second-team All-Pro selections (2017, 2019, 2021), 8× Pro Bowler (2015–2022)," before ending their tirade stating, "and if you were a football fan you'd know he was a hall of famer long before this. Good grief ??‍♀️."

Another noted, "He's one the greatest tight ends in the game . Every NFL fan knows who he is….. men and women ! We know," while a third chimed, "Bethenny, he was already on the map! He is HUGE in the world of football!" This user advised Frankel that she "should really delete this post," a fifth added, "You don't have to comment on everything, you know."

At the same time, even non-football fans came for the "Bar Rescue" guest star, like this cybernaut who wrote, "I'm not a football fan at all and I knew about him and his brother and their cute mom." Someone else also pointed out that "to say that Taylor put him on the map is giving her WAY too much credit."

Before Swift's viral romance rumors with the Kansas City Chiefs player, she had hinted at their connection months ago. The "Bad Blood" singer's fanbase, popularly called Swifties, discovered a clue in a resurfaced TikTok video from her account, suggesting she may have started hanging out with the professional athlete back in July. 

In the video, the "Cruel Summer" artist cruised in a golf cart through a stadium hallway with her pals supermodel Gigi Hadid and makeup mogul Patrick Ta. Fans then keenly observed her attire, which included a black hat, a zip-up sweatshirt, and a red and gold T-shirt, which resembled the colors of the Kansas City Chiefs. 

This knowledge caused the comment section to come alive with suspicions about the couple's romance, with one surprised fan asking, "Is that a KC Chiefs shirt?!!!" Another exclaimed, "THE CHIEFS SHIRT YOU ARE A MASTERMIND." 

A third fan excitedly addressed the songwriter directly, stating, "@Taylor Swift IN A CHIEFS SHIRT!!!!?!!! Taylor, you been telling us all along," a fourth pondered, "Was this the soft launch? Did she send this to Travis with the 'I'm in your office' I need to know everything."

Although the athlete is well celebrated in his field, the fact that his rumored relationship with Swift is causing a surge in sales for his team's jersey might prove Frankel's previous observation. 

Per The Blast, after she made an appearance at the Chiefs' game and actively participated, Fanatics, the official e-commerce partner of the NFL, reported that her presence had a significant impact on the popularity of Kelce's No. 87 jersey at the NFL Shop.

A source revealed, "Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com." It can be assumed that although the buyer's identities remain undisclosed, the boost coincided with the "Love Story" singer showing up. 

It could be that the Swifties, known for their unwavering support, were more than willing to open their wallets for her speculated boyfriend's merchandise. Moreover, the 12-time Grammy Awards winner's enthusiastic cheers during the game provided ample reasons for them to take an interest in her rumored beau.
