The 44-year-old former stunt performer visited First Hand Tattoo in Pennsylvania, which posted photos of his new ink on Instagram.
Bam Margera Gets New Ink To Pay Homage To Britney Spears!
On Tuesday, tattoo artist Nicki Sobeck of First Hand Tattoo took to Instagram to share a photo of Bam Margera getting some new ink. Already covered in tattoos, he decided to get a new tattoo to pay homage to Britney Spears amid his own struggles.
The tattoo says “Britney Spears” along with a little heart. Underneath it, it reads, “Oops they did it to ME too!” along with a small smiley face.
In the caption of a video unveiling the new tattoo, Nicki wrote, “Got to tattoo @bam__margera today what a wild ride thanks man for being just genuine and cool!”
In the comments, fans were quick to praise the TV personality. “He was just in the store I work at a few weeks ago! He was very nice and seemed super genuine. I hope he stays on the up and up,” one fan commented. “Super nice to all of us. He was rad,” Nikki replied.

“Yooooo this is awesome!! He was at Costco,” another follower shared. “Second person I know this week who met him haha,” a third fan chimed in. “I really hope he's doing well nowadays, he looks a bit better,” another follower shared. “Bam is cool when he’s sober. Hope he stays like that,” another fan agreed.
According to TMZ, the meaning behind the tattoo is in reference to the “Florida Shuffle,” which is a term that describes substance users with good health insurance in Florida. They have frequently shuffled around to various rehab centers that charge their insurance for their stay.
Bam Margera Compares His Rehab Situation To Britney's Conservatorship
Although Bam has not been placed under a conservatorship like Britney Spears was, Bam alleges that their situations are similar. Britney was placed under a conservatorship from February 2008 to November 2021, when it was struck down by a judge after approximately 13 years.
Bam, meanwhile, claims that his interventionalist is actually profiting by keeping him in rehab, as per the outlet. According to them, Bam claims that he has done "the Guinness Book of World Records of longest Florida shuffle of nearly 2 years" and claimed that 10 back-to-back stays in rehab have cost over $660,000.
Earlier this year, Bam also compared himself to the Princess of Pop, calling himself the “Britney Spears of ‘Jack---‘” while working on a stand-up comedy routine with Steve-O earlier this year. He has been celebrating being one month sober after getting out of rehab and has been spending time with his girlfriend, Dannii, on a farm outside Philadelphia.
He has been focusing on skateboarding and has been losing weight amid his sobriety. It’s been reported that his friends have been nothing but supportive of him and are hoping for the best.
Nicole Boyd And Bam Margera Have Gone Their Separate Ways
In March 2023, Bam’s wife Nicole Boyd filed for legal separation, alleging that his drinking problems were the primary reason for the split. In the court filing, she stated that she was concerned about how his intoxication could be harmful to their child, Phoenix.
At the time, Nicole noted that it was a “hard choice” to end their 10-year-long marriage, but felt that it was necessary to “protect herself and her son.” Although he has been in and out of rehab facilities since 2018, Nicole waited until 2021 to seek full custody of their five-year-old son after Bam relapsed several times.
In August 2023, Bam was arrested for public intoxication and improper behavior after law enforcement officials found him arguing loudly with a woman outside of a hotel at 4:30 in the morning. Officers who arrived on the scene noted in their report that he was off balance, had slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol.
Although he was arrested, Bam was bailed out by a close friend after it was clear that he had not injured the woman he was arguing with in any way. However, after the incident, a court did award Nicole Boyd temporary custody of their child, Phoenix. The former couple is expected to be back in court in a few months.
