While chatting with Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb about her life, the topic of McCarthy's son Evan, 21, entered the chat.
"He's the sweetest, most incredible human being," McCarthy proudly said. "He is working on 'Masked Singer.' He's a production assistant so he works with the audience. If you come on the show, Evan will greet you, he might throw a t-shirt your way, helpful backstage and is on cloud nine."
McCarthy, glowing with pride while talking about her son, said she had trouble sleeping the night before his first day, and explained the feeling as being similar to when you send your kindergartener to school for the first time. She said that he instantly adjusted to his new role and loves it.
"He's such a people person, they all fell in love with him. Everyone's like, 'Oh my God, he's the sweetest.' And he wants to be there," she continued. "They gave him a walkie-talkie with an ear thing and he's like, 'I look so professional.' He's like, 'I'm protecting you on set, mom. If anything happens, I got you.'"

"And this season, you guys, I know I say this every season, but it's true, it goes next level, cause we bring back great contestants," she said. "And the theme nights."
The new season of the show premieres on Fox tonight (September 27) at 8 p.m. ET. The regular season started after a special premiere episode that aired on September 10 when Demi Lovato was disguised as the Anonymouse character.

Jenny McCarthy And Donnie Wahlberg's Love Is Still Going Strong!
While chatting with Kotb and Bush Hager about her amazing relationship with her hubby Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block, McCarthy revealed they sleep together every night, even when they are not in the same bed.
"Still the honeymoon phase. Honestly, I swear to God, you can ask anyone we know," McCarthy said. "We FaceTime 10 times a day. We'll FaceTime sleep next to each other."
When Bush Hager asked if that meant they left their phones on all night long, McCarthy responded, "Yeah. All night long. Every night - unless the signal is terrible, he is right there, snoring on that pillow."
McCarthy also shared how they keep their relationship in that "honeymoon phase."
"We've done the work, and we date. We do fun things together, we find that private time to have that fun," she said. "Sometimes it's about shutting off the TV at night and just talking."
The lovebirds first met back in 2012 when they both appeared on an episode of "Watch What Happens Live" and then met again when Wahlberg made an appearance on McCarthy's VH1 talk show, "The Jenny McCarthy Show" in 2013. The two began dating later that year and tied the knot in August 2014, and have renewed their vows every year since on their anniversary.
