Madonna Back To Party Mode Just Months After Hospitalization

Madonna knows how to throw a party, even though she just got out of the hospital. 

The Queen of Pop celebrated her son David Banda's 18th birthday with an epic bash full of dancing, fun, and love. The iconic singer shared a compilation of videos from the party on her Instagram account, and they looked like they had a blast. 

The blonde beauty started the clip set to Michael Jackson's evergreen tune, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," by showing off her bag with the words "Thief" written in diamonds before cheekily saying, "Happy birthday, David Banda, you stole my heart." 

Right after that, the celebrant blew a kiss at the camera, looking dapper in a white suit with black lapels and a matching bow tie. Finishing off the look with his hair in cornrows, he immediately let loose on the dance floor, performing a gravity-defying move. 

The scene then switched to his mother, who showed she could still get down like the youngsters despite her recent hospital stay. Sandwiched between other partygoers, the actress held on to the person before her as they wiggled to the beat. 

The "Like a Virgin" singer wore a long-sleeved black coat and diamond sunglasses, leaving her hair loose as she rocked on her rumored boyfriend Joshua Popper. In the caption, Madonna showed how much she loves her son, writing, "Happy 18th Birthday David Banda! Tribal Name -Senzangakhona- . Descendant of the Ngoni Tribe.!"

She emotionally noted her disbelief over "the almost 18 years have passed since We met you in Mchinji at Home of Hope Orphanage!" The "Desperately Seeking Susan" actress mentioned the significance of his name, which means "Speak the truth," and expressed her belief that it is a perfect "name for an artist!" To conclude, she stated:

"You are growing into a truly remarkable human being! We are all so proud or you! ♥️🇲🇼. You light up like the brightest star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️." 

As expected, fans trooped to the comments with good wishes for the celebrant, like this follower who observed that it looked "like a great celebration 💕 happy birthday, David ❤️." Another noticed how "he smiles and toasts his mum at the end, adorable 💔💔."

A third commenter pointed out, "One thing about Madonna is no matter how old she is, she still party like she is 20 years old, and I love it ❤️." A fourth loved the video so much that they wished she had adopted them. 

It is pretty clear that Madonna's love for her six kids knows no bounds, and she is willing to do anything for them. The "True Blue" artist has come a long way since her first child, Lourdes Leon, arrived in 1996. Shortly after, she grew her brood with Rocco, David, Mercy, and the adorable twins Stella and Estere.

Lourdes, born to Madonna and her then-boyfriend, fitness trainer Carlos Leon, became the beacon of her life to the point that she wrote the song "Little Star" for her. Now a successful fashion model in her own right, the 26-year-old has worked for Rihanna's Savage x Fenty line and more prominent names in the industry. 

By 2000, the Golden Globe Award winner welcomed Rocco Ritchie with director Guy Ritchie in Los Angeles. The 23-year-old has also followed his older sister's line, venturing into modeling and acting.

Rocco marked the end of Madonna's biological children, as she adopted David Banda in 2006 from his home country, Malawi. Said the "Erotica" artist to have more in common with her, the budding fashionista has been involved in his mother's musical performances.

After finalizing her divorce from Ritchie, the songwriter adopted three more children from Malawi – Chifundo "Mercy" James in 2009 and Twins Stella and Estere in 2012. 

In June, the "Dick Tracy" actress felt how much her children love her amid a severe medical emergency. Per The Blast, in that time of unrest, the mother-of-six was surrounded by the unwavering presence of her babies.

Although Rocco primarily resides in England with his father, images of him arriving to be with his mom circulated. The "Material Girl" singer's eldest daughter was the first to be by her side when the incident occurred. 

As expected, David was also spotted strolling through the streets of New York. There were speculations that he must have been on his way to ensure she was okay. While the other adopted children were not seen, they were likely with her when it happened, as they reside with their mother.

As for what happened to the "Swept Away" actress, her manager, Guy O'Leary, took to Instagram for an update, stating, "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several days stay in the ICU. Her health is improving; however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected."

He also revealed that she would temporarily suspend all commitments, including her previously scheduled tour. The statement read, "At this time, we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
