Jamie Foxx's Friends Reportedly Worried Over His Talks Of Marriage To Girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp

Jamie Foxx has raised concerns among his friends due to his alleged discussions about potentially marrying his partner, Alyce Huckstepp.

The actor, who previously suffered a health scare, was confronted by his mortality during the ordeal. This incident was said to have prompted the marriage idea.

Foxx and Huckstepp were recently seen enjoying a romantic vacation together in Mexico. Reports also swirled online that "things are going really well" between the duo.

According to a new report, Foxx has been talking about settling down with his current girlfriend, Huckstepp, following his recovery from a recent health scare.

It's believed that the actor's hospitalization, which made him confront his own mortality, sparked the idea of marriage in his mind. 

However, his friends and family are not entirely supportive of the idea, with many of them considering it an "impetuous" decision on his part.

"He's started saying he wants to settle down. It's freaking out everyone in his life," an insider told Radar Online. "They're worried he's going to marry Alyce just because she's the one he happens to be with now."

The source added that "people think he's being impetuous," given that Foxx's usual resistance to marriage was what ended his relationship with actress Katie Holmes in 2019. The duo had dated for six years prior to the split.

It comes after recent reports that revealed that "things are going really well" with Foxx and Huckstepp.

"Aside from his family, Alyce has been a huge source of support throughout his recovery process. She makes him really happy and they spend as much time together as possible," a source told US Weekly earlier in the month.

"They've told one another they love each other, and they have an amazing time whenever they're together," the source added about the couple, who have been dating for over a year since they met through mutual friends.

Per reports, Huckstepp's "great sense of humor" has helped blossom the relationship, as "she's able to keep up with Jamie."

The insider continued, "They have a very playful banter, and she keeps him on his toes which he loves."

Foxx and Huckstepp recently made headlines when they were spotted enjoying a romantic getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, as reported by Page Six.

Their vacation began with the couple arriving at their chosen resort, where they walked hand in hand, displaying their affection for each other. This loving demeanor continued as they checked into their lodge.

Both Foxx and Huckstepp opted for stylish all-black outfits complemented by wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and crisp white shoes. As the day unfolded, the Huckstepp Creative CEO made a wardrobe change, donning a white tank top and black shorts, possibly in preparation for a refreshing swim in the resort's pool.

In contrast, Foxx stuck to most of his attire, simply removing his black sweatshirt to reveal a white crew-neck shirt. He also took a trip to the beach, bringing along a pair of binoculars to enjoy some sightseeing.

Despite Foxx finally getting back to his peak self after his health scare, he has yet to reveal the cause. However, he admitted to his 17 million fans that the ordeal was quite a challenging experience for him.

"You're lookin at a man who is thankful," Foxx said in an Instagram post, along with some pictures of himself.

He added, "Finally startin to feel like myself… it's been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light."

Foxx also shared his gratitude to his friends, fans, and family, who "reached out and sent well wishes and prayers" while he was hospitalized.

"[You] just don't know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn't know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day." Foxx concluded.
