Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's budding romance has the full backing of his teammates, especially Patrick Mahomes.

The Kansas City Chiefs standout player disclosed that he made it a priority to get teammate Kelce a touchdown in Sunday's game due to the presence of a very special guest — the Eras tour star. The singer had attended the game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, showing her support for Kelce amidst speculations of a possible romance between them.

Taylor Swift's Presence At The Kansas City Chiefs' Game Added Some 'Pressure' For Patrick Mahomes

It was a memorable night for Swift watching Kelce in action as he scored an impressive touchdown late in the third quarter. In case you missed it, the Chief had caught the ball in the back of the end zone and extended his team's lead to 41-0 over the Chicago Bears.

While the "Cruel Summer" artist's excitement was evident as she was seen jumping up and down, fans have now learned that the moment would have been impossible without Mahomes.

The truth came tumbling out during the postgame interview where the 28-year-old admitted that he had intentionally connected with his teammate on the three-yard touchdown to make him look good in front of the singer. Speaking to Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews, he said:

"Yeah, I heard she was in the house. I felt a little bit of pressure. So I knew I had to get it to Trav. I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the 'Swifties' wanted him to."

Since the minute-long interview was posted on X, fans had a field day hyping Mahomes. While one person dubbed him the "BEST WINGMAN EVER!" another shared that they "need a wing man like mahomes fr." A third viewer wrote, "Maannn the whole team is rooting for them," as a fourth crowned him the "GOAT teammate."

More proof that Mahomes' wingman tactic worked just as he intended manifested in a clip that captured Swift leaving Arrowhead accompanied by Kelce. As they exited the building together, the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer briefly smiled at the camera, saying "bye," while the tight end offered a smile and a brief nod to the camera.

While Swifties and NFL fans continue eagerly speculating about the duo's relationship, it is worth noting that Kelce had invited the Grammy Awards winner to the Chiefs game. As reported by The Blast, the 33-year-old had made the admission during his appearance on ESPN's "The Pat McAfee Show," stating:

"I threw the ball in her court. I told her, 'I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit.' We'll see what happens shortly."

The 'Blank Space' Artist & Her Football Beau Are Taking Things Slow

Amid the ongoing speculation, a source close to the story reportedly shed some light on the circumstances surrounding Swift and her supposed new man's love. In their words:

"She and Travis have hung out twice, and it's nothing serious. She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week. He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her."

They claimed that even though the supposed lovebirds "are seeing where things go," Travis has some tough competition to conquer as the "Bad Blood" hitmaker's "friends are always playfully suggesting people to set her up with."

The insider further asserted that the MTV Music Video Awards recipient is "in her fun girl era and strictly having fun right now." The source is not the only one to spill the tea as The Blast recently observed that Kelce's brother, Jason Kielce, also gave his own two cents. As he expressed:

"It's hilarious how much traction this has gotten. Right now, it's like that old game in school called 'telephone' where everyone is whispering in everyone's ear and hearing random stuff. No one actually knows what's going on, especially when you've got Jason Kelce on live television telling people both sides … The guy can't stay out of the frickin' headlines."

"I try to keep his business kind of his business, stay out of that world. But having said that, I think he's doing great, and I think it's all 100% true," Jason Kelce further shared.
