Travis Kelce Faces Backlash From Fans Following Pfzier Ad: 'You're A Sell Out'

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has made headlines for the rumors that he is dating pop icon Taylor Swift.

Now, he is making headlines for another reason -- which ultimately led to some major backlash.

The all-star NFL player shared a video as he is now in a partnership with Pfizer. "#PfizerPartner With my schedule, saving time is key," he began to write in the caption. "The CDC says you can get this season’s updated COVID-19 shot when you get your flu shot if you’re due for both. That’s why I got two shots in one stop! Ask your doctor or pharmacist if it would be right for you. You can also visit CDC’s vaccines.gov to learn more and schedule an appointment."

He added, "This video is for US residents only and is intended to be viewed as it was originally produced in partnership with Pfizer. The information provided is for educational purposes only and is not intended to replace discussions with a healthcare provider."

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end turned off comments on the video, seemingly because he was receiving backlash on the ad video -- but fans did not let that stop them from voicing their opinions as they took to Kelce's other Instagram post, slamming the NFL player.

Since fans could not comment on the Pfizer ad video Kelce shared, they began to comment on a different post.

"You sold out for #Pfizer ?," one fan commented as another chimed in with, "Now you, too, have blood on your hands #f**kthevaccine."

Others wrote things such as "How much money did you get for the clot shot ad???" and "Why not hide comments on this post like your previous post?? #sellout".

"Dude you are a sell out . Pushing the V," another commented while one said, "You were sick, now you are just a government puppy. That’s what you do for money."

The comments did not stop there as many others expressed things such as "You a clown ? for that Pfizer add lol" and "Absolute ? sell out puppet".

While another commented, "Beyond disappointed in your video to promote Big Pharma @killatrav !!! No amount of money makes that okay."

Travis Kelce has yet to address the backlash.

It’s been rumored that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop icon Taylor Swift have been dating — though neither party has confirmed this relationship to be true. However, a source close to Taylor Swift did speak out on the rumors of her and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce dating.

“She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious. She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week,” an insider exclusively tells The Messenger. “He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her.”

“They are seeing where things go.” However, the football star has some stiff competition for the singer’s attention. “Her friends are always playfully suggesting people to set her up with,” the source continues.

The “Love Story” singer is “in her fun girl era and strictly having fun right now”, the source added.

When asked if the rumors bothered the Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce said “Nah, that’s life, baby. That’s life.”

While Kelce was on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show”, he added, “I mean, I threw it out there. I threw the ball in her court. I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit.’ We’ll see what happens in the near future.”

Travis Kelce also admitted that back in July he had made a failed attempt to meet Swift and give her his number. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows, because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis told his older brother at the time on their podcast. “So, I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.”
