Model Heidi Klum is finally admitting the reason why she posts so many shirtless photos on Instagram!
The 50-year-old model is finally revealing the "strategic" reason that she shows so much skin... she's just not a fan of tan lines!
Model Heidi Klum Confesses To Sunbathing Without A Shirt On To Avoid Tan Lines!
On Thursday, People magazine published a long interview with the “America’s Got Talent” judge, where she confessed that she always goes topless to avoid tan lines. Not only that, but she also makes sure she is as comfortable as possible when she is at home… until there is someone coming over, of course.
“I’m super comfortable naked today. To the point where my kids are like, ‘Mom, I have a friend coming over,'” she told the publication. “As soon as someone is coming, I put my top on. But if no one is there, sun’s out, bums out.”
“I just don’t like tan lines because I wear so many different outfits. I don’t want to have straps anywhere from tan lines,” she said. “It’s very strategic.” The same rules apply to her “AGT” look.
“When I do AGT, most of the time I sit behind a desk, so it’s really from the waist up. So I look for something that is of interest around here. And usually, I like to have Hans and Franz on a good display,” she said, referring to her large chest.
She went on to say that her husband, Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz, prefers her “blond, with bangs, and in miniskirts.” She joked that it’s “so easy to keep him happy.”
Heidi also went on to say that she has an enormous closet because she has a hard time throwing anything she wears away.
“I have a really hard time throwing things away because I know I’m going to wear this again at some point, and I do,” she said, explaining that she grew up poor and did not come “from a lot of money.” However, her daughter Leni Klum, 19, is the polar opposite.
“She’s just easy to give things away, but I think it’s because she’s always had so many things, and I didn’t,” Heidi speculated. That being said, Leni admits to “borrowing” items from her mom’s enormous closet, including handbags.
“I have stolen, though I like to say ‘borrowed,’ many things from my mom, but my all-time favorite thing I’ve ‘borrowed’ is her black Chanel bag,” she explained.
Heidi Says She Was ‘Very Upset’ About A False Report That Claimed She Only Ate 900 Calories A Day
Earlier this summer, Heidi Klum took to her Instagram Stories to step on the scale during an “Ask Me Anything” session and revealed that she weighed 138 pounds. However, reports started coming in that claimed that she also only ate 900 calories a day to maintain her fit figure.
The following day, Heidi slammed the reports, saying that not only did she never say that, but she had never counted calories at all and worried about the dangers that could cause to her fans if they started following such an unhealthy diet themselves.
“I just got home, and some friends are sending me these articles that have been written that I only take in 900 calories,” Heidi said in an August Instagram Story transcribed by Page Six.
“One, I want to say, I don’t think I’ve ever had to count my calories in my life and don’t believe everything that you read.”
“I don’t know. People just put things together and just write a bunch of crap, and it’s really sad because there really is no real journalism anymore,” she continued, slamming people who “make up stories” that can be harmful to others.
“One person writes it, and then everyone jumps on it, and it’s really sad because, you know, people read that and they think that and possibly follow that, and that’s not good,” she said at the time.
In her recent chat with People magazine, Heidi said that she “was very upset about” the allegations that she only ate 900 calories, where her fans “possibly could get ill from following something stupid that someone made up.”
“I’m not a calorie counter,” she explained. “I never have. I’ve always been lucky that I’ve never had that obsession to count calories or whatever.”
