‘RHOA’ Shereé Whitfield Clears The Air On Relationship Status With Martell Holt

Sheree Whitfield has attempted to clear the air about her situation with Martell Holt after months of back and forth about the true nature of their relationship.

Although she had first introduced him as her man on the Season 15 premiere of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," she soon changed her tune and began referring to him as a "friend." She has now seemingly given an insight into their "friendship" while listing out the qualities she would like in a partner.

Whitfield, who is known for her authenticity, takes pride in bringing realness to the "RHOA" franchise. She recently brought some of that realness when she joined Chanel Omari on her iHeartRadio podcast, "Chanel in the City," and clarified her relationship status.

She revealed that despite the confusion surrounding her relationship with Holt, they are simply "good friends." The mother of three then explained:

"We enjoy being around each other. But I think people get confused with dating or when you're in a committed relationship. I've never said we were in a committed relationship. I've always said we're dating. I'm having fun. I'm enjoying life. That's always been my stance and that is still my stance."

She added that she still had her "options open" and was "spending time with whoever [she] wants to spend time with." The 53-year-old further claimed she would waste no time settling down once she found the "right guy for me."

Omari quickly followed up by asking the Bravo star what it would take for her to commit to a man and what criteria she is looking for before making that significant decision. Outlining her personal checklist for a potential partner, Whitfield emphasized that they must be "God-fearing," family-oriented, and have a sense of humor to make her laugh. 

She continued, stating that they should have their "sh*t together," be healthy and fit, and be an excellent communicator. In her words, "That's why a lot of people get divorced because of communication. I want to be able to talk about anything with you. I want to be able to trust you."

We bet fans of the OG Housewife will be thrilled that she has her toes in the dating pool, especially after a report from The Blast highlighted Holt's shortcomings. Per the article published in July, Holy is not typically recognized for valuing the women he's in relationships with. 

In fact, most of "Love and Marriage: Huntsville's seasons two and three revolved around his infidelity while he was married to Melody Holt. The reality star went so far as to have a child with a woman he described as a long-time friend.

He had equally failed to show the woman any respect, using derogatory terms to refer to her during the reunion and on the show when she was not there to defend herself. Despite this, according to Whitfield, he has generally been a good person, and she was dedicated to "enjoying life."

There was a significant offline and online shakeup in "RHOA" when its 15th episode aired last month. As reported by The Blast, Sheree had hosted a gathering with her family and close friends in honor of her son, Kairo welcoming a son with his girlfriend, Alina Baber.

During this "sip and see" event, a familiar face — in the person of the entrepreneur's ex-husband, Bob Whitfield — made an unexpected appearance. And, in his typical fashion, the former NFL offensive tackle arrived with a surprise of his own — the revelation of a secret daughter.

In the episode, which aired on August 20, Sheree is seen urging her loved ones to take photos, which is when her co-stars, particularly Kenya Moore, noticed an unfamiliar young lady standing next to Bob.

The observation made Sanya Richards-Ross ask, "Is that Bob's girlfriend?" Kandi Burruss, on the other hand, had a different thought as she wondered out loud, "Could he have another daughter we're not aware of?"

The group did not have to wait before Kandi's theory was confirmed, as Bob himself admitted to his ex-wife that the unidentified woman was indeed his daughter. The obviously stunned Sheree shared during her confessional:

"Before we got married, Bob said he had two kids. We then had two more kids. So 26 years later, come to find out he has three kids."

Kandi, who had similar sentiments, stated during her own confessional, "I have known Bob since I was 19 years old. I didn't know he had a secret child, so this is news to me."

The ladies ensured that Bob felt the heat of his actions and pelted him with questions about why he kept his daughter hidden from Sheree. The 51-year-old eventually gave up trying to defend himself and walked away from the women.
