Megyn Kelly believes that controversial comedian Russell Brand should still be able to make money on YouTube.

The platform stripped the Hollywood actor of his ability to make money from ads for violating their "responsibility policy." Although he frequently posts videos questioning climate change, the Ukrainian War, and COVID-19 vaccines, others believe that the decision was based on the recent sexual assault allegations that the actor is now facing.

Despite the allegations against him, Megyn Kelly believes that he is innocent until proven guilty and should not have his YouTube amount stripped of the ability to make money until he is convicted of a crime.

Although she admitted that there was "plenty of evidence" mounting against Brand, none of it has yet to be proven.

So far, the 48-year-old actor has been accused of rape and sexual assault by four women. He has vehemently denied the allegations and claimed that they were part of a larger narrative to silence him.

On Tuesday, YouTube took away his ability to earn revenue from his videos after alleging that he violated their "creator responsibility policy."

Kelly said, "I actually have some problem with" YouTube's decision and felt that they were overly hasty to ban ad revenue on his account.

"I tend to believe there's plenty of evidence against Russell Brand, unlike some of these #MeToo situations," Kelly said, as per the Daily Mail.

"But I don't think his relationship with his audience and his ability to make money should be cut off on cases that are 10 years old, that he hasn't yet thoroughly had the chance to digest or respond to," she continued.

"I know they gave him eight days to look at the story but that's not enough. These are very big and they could get him in trouble criminally and civilly, and he should be given a realistic chance to address these charges, one by one," she added.

Megyn Kelly is not the only one to publicly voice their support of Russell Brand. Candace Owens, Piers Morgan, and founder of the pro-Trump youth group Turning Points USA, Charlie Kirk, have all voiced their support for the "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" star.

"Not only has Russell Brand been convicted of no crime, he hasn't even been charged with a crime. Yet YouTube just unilaterally demonetized his channel with more than 6 million subscribers, and multiple press outlets are colluding in a takedown operation," Kirk said.

Morgan said, "There's something slightly Orwellian about a business that says it will still host his videos - keeping millions of eyeballs on their platform - but won't share the monetary spoils."

Although Kelly agreed, she noted that it was wrong to completely disregard the women's allegations against the actor.

"So many of my friends, people I like and really respect and admire, have gone to the 'we defend Russell Brand' place. 'We're sick of #MeToo. We're sick of this bulls---. We're sick and sick of seeing men's careers completely demolished based on anonymous allegations," she said.

"And these are anonymous at least to us, though I'm sure Russell Brand knows if he slept with a 16 year old or not for three months," she noted.

"And I've been saying, keep an open mind," she went on. "I think there's a lot of evidence in this case, unlike so many others, and we should not change 'believe all women,' which was absurd, into 'believe no women,' which is equally absurd."

"Women who are more conservative leaning, or who are at least moderate liberals, who felt a new alignment with a lot of these guys on the right who are commenting on this especially in the digital lane, and feel very upset and angry that there are so few voices at least saying' 'Let's keep an open mind.' They're not even saying that. Their reaction has been 'It's bulls---,'' Kelly revealed.

Given the charges against him, Megyn Kelly admitted that she couldn't understand why so many were trying to defend Russell Brand. "Why would anybody expend capital defending this guy?" she asked.

"We have absolutely lovely, brilliant, honorable, thinking, polite, respectful men everywhere on this side of the aisle. And frankly, there's a lot on the other side of the aisle too," she continued.

"But I'm just saying there's no need to own Russell Brand or make sure he doesn't get diminished in the face of these incredibly weighty charges," she added.
