Sam Asghari Shares Sweet Snap To Celebrate His Mother's Birthday

Actor Sam Asghari shared a sweet photograph to celebrate the birthday of his mother following her "major accident" in July.

The 29-year-old actor is slowly beginning to make his return to social media following his divorce from pop star Britney Spears.

On the morning of Monday, September 18, the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor took to his Instagram Stories to share a photo that featured him sitting beside his mother at an outdoor cafe. He is wearing a denim jacket over tan slacks, along with his usual sunglasses.

She is wearing a blue and black patterned dress. A mug of what looks to be coffee sits on the table in front of her as the two prepare to enjoy a nice meal together. "Happy birthday MAMAN Asghari," he wrote in the lower left-hand corner of the photo.

On August 16, the actor filed for divorce from Britney Spears, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. However, according to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sam had actually listed July 28, 2023, as the date of separation, which is right around the time that he revealed on social media that he was going on hiatus to take care of his mother, who was in the emergency room following a "major accident."

“A huge thanks to the staff of @cedarssinai Emergency Medical Staff,” he wrote in a brief statement in his Instagram Stories at the time. “Today my mother was involved in a major accident. She was taken to the emergency room. With the amazing help of the medical staff and some friends she’s doing okay and resting it off.”

“I’m so grateful for the love and support you guys had during Mama Asghari’s recovery after the accident,” he wrote in the caption of an Instagram post dated July 31.

“Sending a huge thank you to the amazing medical staff at Cedars-Sinai ER. Moments like these remind us of life’s preciousness. Taking a social media break to prioritize what truly matters. See you very soon,” he added.

Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, was one of the first to comment on the post, writing, “Love this” alongside a red heart emoji. However, since the divorce, comments have since been disabled.

However, comments were not disabled on a video posted to his Instagram page on Saturday afternoon. In that video, the actor can be seen working out at the gym while his fans showered him with support.

Although some fans of the pop star have been claiming that Sam was "using" her for fame throughout their six-year relationship, many fans were supporting the actor in the comments of his latest Instagram posts. Some users called Britney "crazy" and praised Sam for sticking with her as long as he did.

“He deserves respect he was a great guy to her. She's got mental issues that are obvious,” one fan commented. “Congratulations on making the courageous decision to leave someone who is not mentally stable. That's a sign of self-love and self-respect. Good for you,” another follower wrote. “Good for you, man. Now go find yourself a real woman with class. I could only imagine what you went through,” a third fan chimed in.

“I'm so sorry that his marriage ended up, however, I believe that he had been through a tough time with Britney, not because she's a bad girl, not at all, but because her life was so hard and her mental health was too affected, I believe that it's very hard to be with someone that is mentally unstable,” another fan commented. “I'm sure he did his best to make his marriage work, but at a certain point, you have to choose to live your life in peace or stay by the side of someone that takes away your peace and happiness.”
