Jeremy Renner is all smiles nine months after his harrowing snowplow accident.
The actor has showcased his resilience in recent months, from using a walking cane in public appearances to doing without the aid. The star has proven nothing can keep him down, especially after suffering 30 broken bones from being pulled under a seven-ton snow plow in January.
Jeremy Renner's Shares Thoughts On Recovery
Taking to his Instagram story, the father-of-one shared a poster of the NFL game he attended on Sunday. On the image were players from the two teams, the San Francisco 49ers and the LA Rams, alongside the scores showing that the former won the game.
Included was a caption in which the "S.W.A.T." star expressed his excitement at being out and about. In his words, he showed his renewed appreciation for life, effusively noting, "It sure felt amazing to get out and participate in life."
In addition to his joy at not remaining prone, the "Dahmer" actor exuded positivity in another snap of himself and his sister. The 52-year-old opted for a relaxed outfit: a black T-shirt, jacket, and face cap.
Meanwhile, his companion and sibling matched him with a black top over blue jeans. Across the image, the "Mayor of Kingstown" star wrote, "My and sis @sofistadium @49ers Let's goooooooo."
As fans celebrate Renner's strength with him, it is worth remembering that this is not the first time that he has been spotted without his walking stick. At Kate Beckinsale's 50th birthday bash last month, he was spotted striding confidently with the help of his friend, fellow actor Casey Affleck.
Radiating joy and sporting a beaming smile, the "Hawkeye" star's previous reliance on a cane seemed to be a thing of the past as he embraced the festivities with high spirits.
The "American Hustle" actor donned a chic ensemble of white pants, a light blue shirt, and a denim jacket for the party. Meanwhile, his friend went for a laid-back vibe, a green shirt paired with blue jeans.
This appearance marked a considerable move forward in his healing, as before the event, he had made his interview debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" proudly displaying the walking stick.
With the reliable wooden cane by his side, the "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" star had gracefully and resolutely danced across the host's stage, seizing the moment with determination.
The 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' Actor Reflects On Life-Changing Journey
In May, five months after enduring a traumatic start to the year, The Blast reported that Renner sought solace and reflection at Lake Tahoe. This scenic spot holds deep significance for the Marvel star, as it was the site of his harrowing incident, marking a pivotal turning point in his life.
The TV personality posted a video on his Instagram, suggesting he was heading out to spend quality time with family. Accompanied by Mariah Carey's tune "Dream Lover," the footage showcased his picturesque drive along a winding road bordered by stunning trees.
In the caption, he wrote, "Lake Tahoe / Home #family #lakeday." Fans eagerly responded with excitement and admiration for the "Wind River" actor's video. One user enthusiastically commented, "Yeah!!! Enjoy🔥," while another called the view "majestic and awe-inspiring!!"
Many sent their well-wishes and love, offering encouragement like this supporter who expressed, "Gorgeous scenery, and I hope you're doing well. We love you. Be strong and stay safe. Have an amazing and adventurous weekend."
At the same time, another praised his music choice, stating, "Perfect bg sound 🎶 I think 😊 plz, be safe & take care 🙏 Sir Barton 💪💪." In his initial social media update since the New Year's Day snow plow incident, Renner conveyed heartfelt thanks to those who stood by him and offered their well-wishes during his recovery.
Before his post, Renner's representative had released a statement confirming his critical but stable condition. Publicist Samantha Mast expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and kindly asked for ongoing thoughts for his recovery.
Afterward, the "28 Weeks Later" star posted a selfie from his hospital bed on Instagram, displaying his bruised face and the presence of medical tubes. In the caption, he wrote: "Thank you all for your kind words. Im [SIC] too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all."
