In a new Sunday Times exposé, Russell Brand has been named by four women, who have leveled serious sexual abuse charges against the comedian and actor. Brand has taken to social media, pledging his innocence, and it seems Elon Musk and Andrew Tate have got his back.
Russell Brand Accused Of Rape, Sexual Abuse In Bombshell Exposé
As per a joint investigation by the “The Times,” “The Sunday Times” and Channel 4, Russell Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse. As per the report, “Four women have alleged sexual assaults between 2006 and 2013, while he was a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and then an actor in Hollywood films,” while “Others have made a range of accusations about Brand's controlling, abusive and predatory behavior."
As per the investigative report authored by multiple journalists, they interviewed many sources. They spoke with people who knew Brand, worked with him, or had relations with him, along with their friends and family members.
This is also not the first time Brand has been accused of wrongdoing. Back in 2006, Australian singer and TV personality, Dannii Minogue called him a “vile predator” and also referred to his "sex addiction" in the Daily Mirror.
There are a total of four women who have come forward and claimed that Brand sexually assaulted them between the years of 2006 and 2013. One of the accusers claimed that Brand raped her against a wall in his Los Angeles home, around the time he was undergoing a divorce with Katy Perry. The accuser also claimed to have been treated at a rape crisis center the same day, as per the report.
Russell Brand REFUTES Allegations, Has Elon Musk Approval
Brand responded to all the allegations via a social media video, denying it all. Says the actor, "Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute."
He clarified that these allegations hark from a time when he was working "in the mainstream…" Brand also admitted that he wasn't choosy about his partners back then, saying, "As I have written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous [at that time]."
However, he made it clear that the allegations leveled at him were false, saying, "Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about that then, almost too transparent, and I am being transparent about it now as well."
He then also alluded to a conspiracy, further saying, "To see that transparency metastasized into something criminal, that I absolutely deny, makes me question: is there another agenda at play?"
It seems Elon Musk agrees, as he responded on Brand's Twitter video, writing, "Of course. They don’t like competition."

Andrew Tate also stepped up, as he supported Brand, calling it a "Matrix Attack."
Of course, plenty of social media users were happy to call a spade a space, telling Brand, "The amount of rape apologists in this comment section is horrifying. No wonder men get away with it every single day in plain sight! To the women that excuse it as “boys will be boys”, you’re also to blame!"
Social Media Split Right Down In the Middle Over Allegations
Musk and Tate were hardly the only ones to support Brand, for many of his female fans felt the allegations were unjust and false given that his podcasts have gained quite the following. Wrote one, "No surprises here, folks. Russell's been shaking the establishment for a while. It's almost expected that they'd come after him. His work in highlighting corruption and promoting community-driven change challenges the status quo. Stay strong, Russell!"
Not everyone stood by Brand though, as one shot, "Something tells me we’ll need Ashton and the cast from That 70’s Show to set the record straight. All I’m hearing is “Don’t believe victims.” Are you a Scientologist by any chance?"
The actor, who started out as a standup comedian in the early 2000s before appearing in many TV shows and films, is also the author of bestselling books. For now, it seems he's scripting his innocence story from social media, refusing to give any more comments. All four accusers chose to remain anonymous at this time, claiming they wanted to let the world know what the real Russell Brand was like.
