Jason Aldean's Newest Rooftop Bar Location Is A Must Visit

Last month, country music star Jason Aldean opened up a second location of his restaurant and rooftop bar in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

After the grand opening, I had a chance to visit the new location, and it certainly did not disappoint.

Jason Aldean's second kitchen and rooftop bar opened in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on August 3 and is already impressing fans.

The location consists of three floors -- the first is a gift shop, the second is the restaurant and Jason Aldean's gift shop, and the third is the rooftop bar.

Once you go up the stairs and into the restaurant, you are immediately met with Jason Aldean memorabilia scattered throughout. There are photos on every wall of Aldean over the years, as well as a huge HD television which plays country music videos as you enjoy your meal.

My favorite aspect of the restaurant is the bar, which features a big green tractor right in the middle, which is a reference to Aldean's hit song, "Big Green Tractor".

For entrées, I opted for the fried shrimp basket, which came with fries, coleslaw, cocktail sauce, and tartar sauce. For $18, you get a decent amount of food. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and paired perfectly with the cocktail sauce.

The coleslaw was one of the best coleslaw dishes I have ever had. It wasn't mushy at all and was extremely fresh.

My husband ordered the 10-ounce prime-time sirloin, which is served with a bourbon demi-glace and steak butter alongside Yukon mashed potatoes, and green beans.

He ordered it medium rare, and unfortunately the first time around, it was overcooked. Our waitress immediately took the plate back and asked the kitchen to remake the entire dish. Although the wait time for the second dish was longer than it should have been, when the second steak came out, it was cooked correctly and the potatoes and green beans were hot and fresh.

Full disclosure -- my husband's first choice of cut is not Sirloin, however, for a Sirloin he said it was good. Parts of it were a bit dry, but the bourbon demi-glace made up for it. The mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth while the green beans were cooked perfectly.

On the third floor, you will find the rooftop bar. Though they do not serve food upstairs, they do have a full bar and plenty of seating.

On select nights, the rooftop bar offers live music, with no cover charge -- which makes for a great night out on the town.

In my opinion, the best part about the rooftop bar is the views. The outdoor patio offers visitors a stunning atmosphere with tables and patio lights, complete with a view of the town of Gatlinburg and the mountain tops.

The new Gatlinburg location opened up on Thursday, August 3 by Jason Aldean himself, who was accompanied by his wife, Brittany Aldean, and youngest children, Memphis and Navy.
