NFLstar Ja'Marr Chase's baby mama asked for $50,000 a month in child support while battling the superstar over custody of their newborn.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the mother of Chase's 8-month-old son allegedly pressed the wide receiver's money manager for $600,000 a year in child support. As you can imagine, the representative scoffed at the amount and started negotiating for him.
As we reported, on June 16, 2023, she gave birth to the football player's son, Ja'Marr Chase Jr. After the birth, she filed a custody case in Los Angeles asking for "sole physical and sole legal custody." If successful, it would no doubt include a heavy monthly child support bill.

In the filing, famed manager Joseph “Rocky” Arceneaux, tells the court he has been communicating with the woman over text message to discuss support, housing, and even buying a car.
Rocky submitted a declaration, describing the ongoing conversations -- including text messages -- about her wanting money from the NFL player.
"During that conversation, she stated in sum or substance, “I did my homework online, and know the difference between Texas child support laws and California child support laws.” I believe that (she) made this statement early in the conversation as an attempt to take a strong negotiating position on the issue of monthly child support. Also during that conversation, Petitioner made it clear that she was not willing to negotiate on child support payments and demanded an exorbitant monthly child support payment of $50,000 per month," he wrote.

Interestingly, Arceneaux says she flip-flopped on the demand, texting him, "Since our call last night, I have a change of heart. I’m willing to be more reasonable. We can discuss soon." He added, "She also sent me a message with her bank wiring information so I could process the first $5,000 child support payment and continue to make payments."
During the negotiations, Rocky claims he was able to make her a deal that included the $5,000 in child support, along with a luxury vehicle and a home in Houston, Texas.
The best part is she was apparently very picky about the type of car she wanted to drive, with Rocky saying, she "texted me photos of various luxury vehicles that she wanted to lease, which included a 2022 Porsche Macan S, Mercedes G-Wagon, and a Range Rover." Great taste!
In the end, Chase's manager says he has paid $22,000 up front the cover six months of rent on her new home and even though he argued a $150,000 car wasn't "practical" he delivered a Range Rover.
Ja'Marr Chase's Manager Hoping To Settle 'Amicably' With Baby Mama
It should be noted, that although this new filing makes it appear a deal has been struck, the baby's mother was asking for a huge amount of monthly support. The breakdown included $57,400 in monthly expenses, with $15,000 for rent and $5,000 for "Entertainment, Gifts, and Vacations." The amount makes sense considering he is one of the highest-paid football players in the world. Recently, Ja'Marr signed a four-year $30 Million contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.
"His average annual salary is $7,704,910, or $642,076 per month," she reminded the court.
Chase's manager told the court he was hoping to resolve the case. He wrote, "I have only ever communicated with (her) over the phone and by text message, we have never met in person. The purpose of our introduction was so that I could assist the (Ja'Marr) and her in navigating their co-parenting journey by helping them negotiate a fair and reasonable settlement."
Adding, "I have had multiple conversations with her in an attempt to reach an amicable settlement."
Bengals fans are hoping Chase's personal life gets a bit easier too, after having a rough day against the Ravens in a heartbreaking loss.
For you NFL fans...he had 5 receptions for 31 yards, and no touchdowns.
