Savannah Chrisley Reportedly Finds Love Again With NFL Player Who Escaped Murder Plot

Savannah Chrisley is off the market! However, her new man is quite different from her previous romances.

Following her brief relationship with the country singer Nate Smith, the reality TV star has allegedly moved on with the former football player Robert Shiver.

Before sources leaked news about the duo's union, the ex-athlete made waves for being the victim of a murder plot. The scheme was reportedly hatched by his wife, Linda Shiver, and her alleged boyfriend.

An insider recently spilled the tea about the "Chrisley Knows Best" star's relationship with the former Auburn University football player. The informant revealed to People Magazine the pair began dating amid Robert's attempted murder case.

The Sassy by Savannah founder's new beau nearly lost his life after uncovering his wife's alleged affair. Linda, a former beauty pageant queen and Auburn University cheerleader from Thomasville tried to murder her husband with the help of her reported lover.

The alleged lovebirds were accused of planning to kill Robert with a hitman. Authorities arrested the scheming trio in Abaco, Bahamas, where the estranged spouses resided. The arrest was made after police discovered a concerning string of WhatsApp messages depicting the group's sinister intentions.

Law enforcement uncovered the alleged plot to kill the former athlete while investigating a break-in at Grabber’s Bar and Grill on Guana on July 16. The phone containing the WhatsApp messages belonged to the suspected trespasser.

A police report about the attempted murder read, “On July 16, 2023, at Abaco, [the defendants,] while being together, did, with a common purpose, agree to commit an offence, namely the murder of Richard Shiver.”

Following their arrest, the team of murder plotters reportedly appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley. The trio were not required to enter a plea and continue to live behind bars in a Bahamian jail. The group shall return to court on October 5.

As for the "Growing Up Chrisley" star, the 26-year-old's new romance with Robert came months after her split from the country music star Nate Smith. In May, the blonde beauty opened up about the duo's separation on her "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley" podcast.

In the emotional episode, the media personality revealed she had chosen motherhood over her relationship with the "Whiskey on You" singer. The former beauty pageant became responsible for her younger brother and niece following her parents' incarceration on fraud and tax evasion charges.

According to the entrepreneur, her romance with the artist was a classic case of “right person, terrible timing.” Reflecting on their brief romance, Chrisley confessed to having fantastic memories with the "World on Fire" hitmaker. In her words:

“It was such a great experience. I mean, I have literally nothing to say about him other than having so much respect for him. It was just a tough situation for everyone involved.”

Despite their bond, the 26-year-old stated that it was difficult for "anyone to understand the level of trauma" plaguing her life. Since she considered herself a mom to the children under her care, she could not leave them to tour the world with a rising country singer.

“He needs someone who’s going to be able to go to those things and enjoy them with him,” the blonde beauty admitted, adding that she was not the right person for the job. “There’s no way for me to do it without feeling guilty for leaving the kids."

Before her short fling with Smith, the "Chrisley Knows Best" star was engaged to Nic Kerdiles before they called off their two-year engagement in 2020.

Months before her alleged new romance with the ex-athlete, Chrisley addressed her thoughts on marriage on a June podcast episode. While talking to guest Lindsay Ell, the 26-year-old divulged her fears about walking down the aisle.

According to the reality TV star, the societal pressure on women to be married and have kids made it challenging to live in the southern region of the United States. The blonde beauty confessed:

“It’s so hard because in the south, too, you experience this like [perspective of], ‘You should be married. You should have kids. And I say the thought of marriage scares me more than kids.”

Elaborating on her fear of marriage, Chrisley noted she preferred children because she could be in control. "So if I were to have a kid, it’s my responsibility to take care of them, and I make sure they get from point A to point B. All these things," the entertainer explained.  

"But with marriage, it’s kind of like you’re giving over a part of yourself to someone, so they have the ability to hurt you. It’s a weird thing I’m still trying to figure out in my mind," the TV personality lamented.
