This development comes after Slater filed for divorce from his wife, Lilly Jay, while Grande remains legally married to Dalton Gomez despite their separation.

According to the Daily Mail, singer Ariana Grande and actor Ethan Slater have taken their relationship to a new level by cohabiting in New York City. At the same time, he prepares for his Broadway role in "Spamalot." This development follows Slater's recent divorce filing from his wife, Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a one-year-old child.

An inside source shared with the news outlet that the "Dangerous Woman" singer is "living with a married man right now while she is still married," highlighting the unique circumstances surrounding their relationships.

Interestingly, despite their separation, Grande is still legally married to her husband of four years, real estate broker Dalton Gomez. The public revelation of Grande and Slater's romance appears to have complicated matters, keeping them from finalizing their divorce.

Grande and Slater's connection began on the set of the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical "Wicked" in December 2022. Grande portrays Glinda, the good witch, while Slater plays Boq, a munchkin.

Notably, they both were still in their respective marriages when they first became friends. A report by People magazine also alleged that they were "friends" until their separations. 

However, according to Daily Mail, a source refuted this claim, asserting there are "receipts to prove" otherwise. The source said, "Ariana and Ethan never intended for their relationship to go public. They hoped to keep it a secret and return to their marriages as if nothing had happened. But this was not possible because they got caught."

They added, "Now they are stuck together and have nothing in common with each other. It will be interesting to see how this plays out."

Both couples' separation became public in July, with Grande and Slater's relationship revelation closely following. Slater filed for divorce from Jay, citing "irreconcilable differences" and seeking joint custody of their infant son.

In July, Jay, in light of her estranged husband Slater's new relationship with his "Wicked" co-star Grande, stated that her family has become "collateral damage" in the public eye.

She told Page Six, "[Ariana's] the story, really. Not a girl's girl," adding that her "family is just collateral damage." Jay affirmed that she is now focused on her child and strives to be a "good mother."

Nevertheless, insider sources revealed a different side to Jay's actions, suggesting she has actively reached out to news outlets to share her perspective, even if her public stance seems otherwise.

According to these sources, "She's telling Ethan and others that she only cares about protecting their child." They added, "She's rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn't do anything wrong."

According to a source who spoke to TMZ, Jay is devastated and heartbroken by her ex's romance with Grande. She feels that her family has been torn apart and that Slater abandoned them.

Per the insider, "Jay's heart is most broken over the fact that her young son "won't have his mom and dad around constantly."

Sources also suggested that Jay and Slater are not on good terms because she believes he has "completely turned his back on his family" to be with the Grammy award-winning singer.

However, sources for Page Six contradicted these claims, asserting that Slater abandoning his family is "completely untrue."
