A recent social media post has Memphis Grizzlies fans concerned about Ja Morant.

Months ago, the NBA star unfollowed his friend Davonte Pack, also known as DTap, on social media. Pack was involved in many of Morant's incidents in the past year, including the fight with teenager Joshua Holloway. One fan noticed that Morant has refollowed Pack and shared the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, and Morant responded.

Some fans have reacted to the reply sharing their thoughts.

"Well u will be back on suspension," one person shared. Another said, "Ja sometimes u gotta let family go."

One fan said he had no idea what his reply meant, and another person jumped in to explain saying, "It means that they’re locked in forever lol."

Another fan explained the other side of this situation, sharing that "friendships matter."

"People just expect you to drop childhood friends? Everyone commenting on here has something in their past that they’re not proud of. A friend that you don’t always see eye to eye with. Friendships matter. Glad Ja didn’t just write his friend off."

While the captions of the recently shared photos give very little context, the photos speak for themselves. A newly shared video gives a little more context on Morant's "rebirth."

"The true rebirth of the soul is more than a mental desire. If you have ever felt truly reborn, you know that the experience is a whole new perspective of self from the inside out. You're entire being, soul and body emerge in nothing less than a sense of new self," narrator of the video said. "Limited patterns, behaviors and beliefs seem to disappear as you experience a more true and full sense of your existence."

When the 2023-2024 NBA schedule was released last month, fans were able to get a better sense of when they will see the Grizzlies star back in action on the court. Morant is currently suspended and will be eligible to play on December 19 when the Grizzlies play the New Orlean Pelicans.

Morant, who was suspended for eight games last season for flashing a gun in a nightclub during an Instagram Live, was suspended for 25 games back in May after he once again brandished a firearm during an Instagram Live.

After his second incident, he released a statement taking full accountability for his actions and promising to do better in the future.

"I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do,” Morant’s statement reads. "My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my action. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself."

His statement continued to explain how he’s learning to “cope with stress in a positive way,” and promises to “be more responsible” in the future.
