Elon Musk’s internet system, Starlink, just experienced some major issues as it was down for several minutes internationally for reasons unknown.

“⚠️ Confirmed: Real-time network data show SpaceX Starlink satellite internet platform is currently experiencing an international outage; reason unknown. ?️? #StarlinkDown,” reports confirmed.

As of 8:48 p.m. EST it seems that Starlink seems to be back up and running, though the reason for the outage is still unknown at this time. Despite the chaos, fans are still furious with the interruption.

Fans Outraged At Internet Outage

Fans immediately took to Reddit to discuss the outage.

One user wrote, “Starlink down for the last 20 minutes in the Caribbean. Just found out that my wife left me last Christmas,” as another said, “Seems like global outage holy sh*t look at all of us with back up internet I’m proud of all of you.”

While one user complained, “Got Obstructed….then Disconnected ….. then Offline…. then Disconnected.”

As another Reddt user wrote, "My kids have been pacing the floor. They’re single handedly blaming Elon & said he’s doing this on purpose. One of them even grabbed a book and started reading. Tis the end of the world."

Starlink is Elon Musk’s internet, which is described as, "With Starlink, users can engage in activities that historically have not been possible with satellite internet. Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency service is made possible via the world’s largest constellation of highly advanced satellites operating in a low orbit around the Earth."

In the past, customers have given great reviews of the internet service. “It’s an entirely different world…Before Starlink we had to ration data and we couldn’t stream. Now we have files downloading, Pandora playing, Zoom going and there’s no latency whatsoever,” one fan, William D. from Colorado, said in their review.

While another, Aaron W. from Southern England, wrote, “Absolute game changer! There’s no overpromising and underdelivering like our old slow provider. Plug it in and show Dishy the sky, that’s it! In under 5 minutes we’ve gone from the forgotten to having the fastest internet connection in the area.”
