Bill Gates Shares Important Message About How His Granddaughter Changed His Life

Bill Gates is a changed man, and it is all thanks to his granddaughter!

Since becoming a first-time grandfather, the billionaire and Microsoft co-founder has been very transparent with how he is handling his new role. Most importantly, the philanthropist seems excited to serve as an exemplary role model to his grandchild.

It would be recalled that Bill and his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, officially became grandparents after the former couple's 26-year-old daughter, Jennifer Gates, and her husband, Nayel Nassar, announced the arrival of their first child on March 4.

The Microsoft co-founder in executing his role as a grandfather, commemorated Grandparent's Day by spending time with his beloved granddaughter, Leila, and his daughter, Jennifer.

He took to his Instagram to post a heartwarming picture of himself reading Jean Reagan's ''How to Babysit a Grandpa'' to his granddaughter Leila as she sat in her mother's arm.  The trio were seated on a sofa during the bonding session, with the dining area and a huge table was featured in the background of the snap.

The doting mom, Jennifer, affectionately carried baby Leila, whose focus was on the book her sweet grandpa was reading to her.  Jennifer opted for a comfy look, sporting a black hoodie and matching shorts, while her daughter was dressed in a cute baby girl floral romper.

On the other hand, Bill sported a white collared T-shirt, which he wore underneath a gray sweater and paired with Nike shorts. Adding a caption to the post, Bill began by writing, ''Becoming a grandparent has given me a whole new lens to see the world through.''

He continued, ''It keeps me motivated to ensure my granddaughter–and all our grandchildren–inherit a better world than they were born into. #grandparentsday.'' His post was well received by fans and amassed over 100k likes.

Back in June, the loving grandad was looking forward to the precious moment of reading his grandchild her first book. The renowned philanthropist videoed himself preparing to carry out his grandfatherly duties. He took to his Instagram to reveal that he was deciding on the first book to read to his beloved grandchild.

In the video shared on his feed, he was captured standing behind a desk covered with stacks of colorful books for kids. The investor held up a few books from the collection on the table and went through their pages one after the other, including one titled ''Pandemic for Babies'' and another titled ''Climate Change for Babies.''

The reel then showcased sequential views of more books with their titles, including ''Quantum Information for Babies,'' ''Nuclear Physics for Babies,'' and ''Quantum Computing for Babies.''

From the clip, Bill seemingly wanted his granddaughter to gain interest in the cause he held dear to his heart. Nevertheless, he eventually settled with the classic, ''I am a Bunny.''  After ultimately deciding to choose the classic children's book, the 67-year-old sat back, grinning at the camera with his arms folded across his chest satisfyingly. 

He captioned the clip, writing, ''With so many books to choose from, I had to go with a classic.'' His encouraging post amassed tons of likes from excited fans. Although the comment section was restricted, it is presumed that the billionaire's followers loved up on the proud grandpa moment.

While Bill has a lot of love to give to his granddaughter, he has some reserved for the new woman in his life, who seemingly gives him joy. After divorcing his ex-wife, Melinda, of 27 years, the philanthropist found himself another companion, and things are getting pretty serious between the duo after Bill introduced her to his family.

His new girlfriend, whose name is Lover Paula, met Bill's three kids, Jennifer, Phoebe, and Rory, and his son-in-law, Nayel Nassar, at a casual and intimate meeting at the Boucherie restaurant in New York City's West Village. 

For the occasion, the group opted to rock casual outfits. The philanthropist donned a gray pullover, which he paired with jeans. He complemented his fit by adding a blue baseball cap and sneakers.

Meanwhile, his lover, Paula, opted for black pants with a matching blouse and jacket. She accessorized her ensemble with a black clutch and studs. Bill's children also kept their outfits minimal. His oldest daughter, Jennifer, wore a blue jean jacket and pink pants, and her equestrian husband, Nassar, wore a gray sweater with blue jeans and black sneakers.

On the other hand, the youngest, Phoebe, put on a black-and-white striped top alongside light blue jeans and white sneakers, while Rory opted for a two-tone blue puffer jacket and beige pants with maroon.

Although Paula's two daughters were absent from the meeting, their meet-up indicated that Bill and Paula had taken their relationship very seriously and might soon become one big family.
