Bill And Melinda Gates Dote On Newborn Granddaughter

Bill and Melinda Gates are celebrating a joyous occasion — the birth of their first grandchild.

Last month, Nayel Nassar and Jennifer Gates, the firstborn child of Microsoft co-founder and his ex-wife, marked the arrival of their first child together. The ex-couple are overjoyed and seem to be relishing their new roles as doting grandparents.

Although it is unclear whether the pictures were taken in the same place, the former couple has recently shared photos of the new bundle of joy on their respective pages. Despite the coordinated timestamps on the posts, it seems that the estranged duo captured the moments separately.

Melinda took to social media to share a snapshot of herself holding her granddaughter. The photo showed the 58-year-old holding the newborn close to her chest, with a sweet smile directed towards the camera. The philanthropist wrote a heartfelt caption dressed in an orange top and black trousers, which read:

"There is nothing quite like holding your first grandchild ? It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age. Now she has a baby of her own—and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents."

Meanwhile, Bill also posted a photo sporting a navy blue sweatshirt and pants while playfully touching the baby's tiny fingers. The little girl looked adorable in a pink onesie as he wrote in the caption, "I can't wait to watch you discover the world."

Many people congratulated the grandparents, like Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, Actor Dax Shepard, and producer Ava DuVernay who wrote, "Congratulations, Melinda and family! What a precious gift! ?.” 

Other followers also congratulated the grandparents on each of their posts, like this person who referred to Melinda, stating, "Must be so fun! She's lucky to have the best Grandma!" Another user expressed their well-wishes and concern to the new mother, writing, "Congratulations, how amazing! Hope mother and baby are doing great." 

A third noted, "Nothing compares to being blessed with grandkids," while a fourth penned, "Yes, it's universal, no prejudice, no money can buy the life of being a grandma. Happy for you all." A fifth stated, "Congratulations Bill and Melinda, on your 1st grandchild. May all of the little one's dreams and wishes come true. ?❤️.”  

After weeks since the birth of her little one, proud mother Jennifer finally offered the world a sneak peek of her newborn daughter. The Blast observed that the 26-year-old, who seemed to have taken to motherhood effortlessly, introduced her baby to the world while carefully concealing her face.

She took to her Instagram Story to share a lovely picture of herself sitting on a deck bench while carrying her tiny tot in a carrier attached to her chest. She kept her outfit casual and comfortable for the outdoor snapshot, donning black leggings and a long-sleeved white shirt, accessorized with a matching baseball cap and sneakers.

She looked down at her newborn baby, whose face was not visible as she was positioned with her back toward the camera.

After his split from his ex-wife Melinda Gates in May 2021, the investor has found a new partner to share his life with. As reported by The Blast, the billionaire business magnate seems to have moved on and is now creating exciting memories with his new partner. 

He was reported to have found comfort in his new relationship with Paula Hurd, the widow of former Oracle co-CEO and president Mark Hurd. A source close to them revealed that they have been inseparable for over a year and that their romantic relationship is not a secret in their inner circle.

The pair did not just meet; they had crossed paths in 2015 in California during a tennis match Bill, Paula, and her late husband attended. After years of being nearby, Bill and the former tech executive finally got to know each other.

They were spotted together in January having a great time watching the Men's Singles Final at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
