Simone Biles Pokes Fun At Her Height Before Reconnecting With 'Long Distance' Husband

Simone Biles is having a good laugh about her height, and it is the coolest thing on the internet!

The artistic gymnast, who stands at 4 feet 8 inches tall, is considered by many to be the greatest gymnast of all time. Not only did she become the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single game, but she was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles from 2013 to 2015.

Aside from being an accomplished sportswoman, she is also happily married to the love of her life, Jonathan Owens. Interestingly, she recently reconnected with the footballer, who is playing for the Green Bay Packers, amid their long-distance marriage

The athlete was full of humor after visiting a luxurious hotel to stay and was not too pleased with the quality of service.

She took to her Instagram story to post a mirror selfie taken inside a lavishly decorated bathroom. However, the mirrors could not capture Biles' face due to her height and the lights around the mirror. Instead, only her forehead, hairstyle, and shoulders were visible. 

The gymnast opted for straight hair with a middle part and donned a light blue round-neck T-shirt. Complaining about her inability to capture her entire face, she playfully wrote in her caption, ''hotel rooms need to start providing step tools bc……..''

Despite her disappointment at the hotel for not making adjustments for short people, Biles wasted no time in getting ready to see her man play. A subsequent post showed the artistic gymnast at a stadium packed with a full crowd. 

Showing off only her footwear – a Nike Dunk Low Vivid Sulfur, Biles captured the stadium, with an accompanying caption that hailed her husband ''GO 34 ?.'' For her final update, the athlete and her husband, Owens, were seen in high spirits as they embraced each other affectionately. 

Biles donned an all-black ensemble consisting of a top and a short jean skirt. She accessorized her fit by wearing a silver necklace. On the other hand, Owens opted for a gray two-piece tracksuit, which he paired with a pair of white Crocs Echo Clog.

Revealing that this was their last time of seeing each other in a while, the Olympic champion penned "see you in 6 weeks babe.'' Last month, Biles opened up about dealing with the long-distance due to their demanding careers.

The athlete addressed the issue during an Instagram Q&A session when a fan asked, ''How often do you see your husband?" 

Responding to the curious fan, she wrote, ''When he was in Houston, every day!!!!! But he's in green bay now.'' She added that she would only be able to see him for a bit after one of his upcoming games. In her words, ''It will be at 1 of the 3 pre-season games but just quickly after… like 35mins.''

Noting how she was handling long distance, Biles revealed she and Owens mapped out a plan to see each other occasionally.  Although she did not mention the plan, she explained, ''Long distance is tough & both being professional athletes is hard… for our schedules…''

As fans may know, the couple received bitter-sweet news earlier in the year after Owens got signed to the Green Bay Packers in May, prompting him to leave shortly after the lovebirds' brief honeymoon.

Outside of her married life, the Ohio native is a career-driven woman who has set exceptional standards in the gymnastics world.

Although she took a break from competing in the sport, Biles made a grand comeback with wins and has declared her intentions concerning the 2024 Olympics set to take place in Paris.

The renowned gymnast gave a positive announcement about her plans while speaking to ''Hoda Kotb on ''TODAY'' during a friendly chat. When Kotb asked the most decorated U.S. women's gymnast ever whether to place a bet on her participating in the upcoming Olympics, Biles graced his question with a definitive reply.

She remarked, ''Right now, I would say that's the path I would love to go, so I wouldn't mind if you put it in the 'yay' section.''

After confirming her participation in the competition, Biles divulged her preparation for the competition. She explained she would be more intentional about her health.

She stated, ''I think I have to take care of myself a little bit more and listen to my body and making sure that I'm making time for the important things in my life, rather than before, it was just 'go, go, go,' and then making time after.''

The 26-year-old continued, ''This time around, it's being intentional, going to therapy, making sure everything is aligned so that I can do the best in the gym and be a good wife, good daughter, good friend, and all of the good things.''
