Chris Evans & Alba Baptista Tie The Knot Amid MARVEL-ous Attendance

The last of the marvelous bachelors from MCU has fallen in love! Chris Evans and his girl, actress Alba Baptista got hitched in an intimate ceremony at Cape Cod with plenty of MCU stars in attendance. Scarlett Johansson seemed missing, though.

Multiple outlets say that “Captain America” is no longer a bachelor, as he married actress Alba Baptista on September 9 in an intimate ceremony at a private residence in Massachusetts.

The actor and his now-wife, who is best known for starring in the Netflix series "Warrior Nun," never announced an engagement. The two have been together for two years now, after first sparking romance rumors back in November 2022, when they were first spotted strolling together in NYC.

Evans went Instagram official with her in January this year, after posting a video montage of two pranking each repeatedly as they snuck up on each other, shouting "babe" or "baby." Evans’ pooch Dodger was also very much in on it. For Valentine’s Day. Evans posted a series of pictures of himself and Alba together.

In one of the videos that showed Alba playing a video game, Evan wrote, "I introduced her to Mario Bros 3. She hates this video but I LOVE it."

In April, they attended the premiere of his new movie, “Ghosted” but did not pose on the red carpet together. In fact, they are yet to pose for any official event and it seems the first time we will get to see them, is in their wedding photos.

Neither spoke about any plans to marry either although 42-year-old Evans did allude to having a family in the future, claiming having a dog is a good litmus test to see how one handles responsibility.

Evans, 42, and Alba, 26, allegedly exchanged vows in front of family and friends, including several of  Evan’s MCU costars. Sharp eyes snapped Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner dining in nearby Boston recently, along with Robert's wife, Susan Downey, and Chris's wife Elsa Pataky.

While this is all speculation, other MCU cast members like Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, and Paul Rudd have not been spotted. Not that it means that they didn't attend, or weren't invited. Given that they haven't posted about the wedding yet, being respectful to the privacy of the happily married couple, who knows who got to be there?

Inside reports suggest that the nuptials were “locked down tight,” as guests signed NDAs and phones were forfeited.

Meanwhile, given the 16-year age difference, Evans has faced some flak for his relationship with the much younger Alba. While the actor never spoke about it, his brother, Scott did talk about the trials and travails of public dating and the consequences of a relationship under the microscope.

On July 1, 2023, Evan retweeted Taron Egerton's post about having a social media-free summer and went offline soon after. Basically, he wanted to be more present in the moment and so took a step back, but now, it seems he did because he wanted to get married in peace.

Meanwhile, fans took to celebrate Chris Evans on social media as he trended on Twitter, even as many claimed that they wouldn't believe the news till they saw proof, as in confirmation from the bride and the groom themselves.

Plenty of funny comments from female fans also followed, as some called it "heart-breaking news," and even "the worst way to start a morning."

The ones with the bigger hearts simply tried to "grieve" in private, now that Evans is off the market, and NOT with Selena Gomez while more felt his fans deserved some sympathy today!
