Disney Parks has just teased that big "surprises" and announcements will be made tomorrow by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro.

Disney Parks will be holding a live stream of “A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” at the Destination D23 event.

"Exciting news Disney Parks fans! On September 9, we’re sharing new announcements and updates on some of our most highly anticipated projects at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products LIVE – as they’re unveiled – during the biggest Disney fan event of the year, Destination D23!," the company reported.

"Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro is presenting “A Celebration of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” at the event and offering a look at what’s coming to life at our parks, resorts and beyond – along with a few special surprises!," they teased.

The live stream will begin at 9:15 a.m. ET/ 6:15 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 9 on Disney Parks.

At D23 in September 2022, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro shared concept art for a potential villains-themed land, which Imagineers want to bring to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. At the time, Disney Imagineers did not confirm what would be included in a new villlains land expansion, though they did mention the possibility of having it reside in Magic Kingdom behind the Big Thunder Mountain attraction, calling the entire concept the “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain” project.

With the live stream occurring tomorrow, it is possible that D'Amaro gives more details surrounding this project at tomorrow's live event.

Disney Imagineer Chris Beatty recently spoke out about the project, saying “[The villains concept] got pretty good applause [at D23]. We took note of how loud the applause was when we announced that."

He added, “We’re dreaming every day about what could be next at Walt Disney World. We just wanted to give you a peek at some of the amazing things that could be coming. It’s changing every day. It’s exciting. I think Josh [D’Amaro] was really trying to get across that spirit of creativity, of what could be next, of innovation, of the possibility of what could be is still alive and well at Disney and Imagineering."

At D23 last year, the company also teased a possible new "Zootopia" and "Moana" themed expansions for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park.

The live stream will begin at 9:15 a.m. ET/ 6:15 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 9 on Disney Parks.

In meantime, Disney Imagineers are working on putting the final touches on Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana which will open at EPCOT in Disney World later this year. The company has referred to Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana as a “lush exploration trail” which will allow Guests to “play with magical, living water.”

Disney World alsso announced new character meet and greets coming to the Parks, including Moana, Mirabel from “Encanto”, and Figment, from EPCOT’s iconic attraction, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, all debuting sometime this year.
