Shakira Reveals The 'Love Of My Life' Amid Lewis Hamilton Relationship Rumors!

The Colombian native just revealed the true love of her life.

If you’re a fan of Shakira, then you know she went through a very messy breakup last year. She and her partner of nearly 12 years, Gerard Piqué, broke up following cheating allegations.

The couple welcomed two sons together over the course of their relationship, and it really looked like a forever love story.

Unfortunately, it all came crashing down when rumors of infidelity on Piqué’s part surfaced. He allegedly cheated on the songstress multiple times throughout the course of their relationship, but his most recent fling was with his NOW girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

While many may think Piqué was the love of Shakira’s life, that isn’t quite the case.

Oh, and if you’re thinking it’s obviously her two boys… think again.

Shakira took to Instagram to make the declaration on September 7.

She shared a black-and-white photo of her and an elderly man. Turns out the elderly man is her father, William Mebarak. Shakira captioned the photo, “Feliz cumpleaños a mi mejor amigo y al amor de mi vida!”

When translated to English that means, “Happy Birthday to my best friend and the love of my life!”

Shakira is extremely close to her father, whose health has sadly been on the decline in recent years. Back in October, the singer shared a video of her father in the hospital.

In it, she is working on stretching his legs and kissing his feet.

Her true love declaration comes amid rumors that she’s dating Formula One race car superstar, Lewis Hamilton.

The two sparked relationship rhetoric back in May after she moved to Miami, FL, and attended the 2023 Grand Prix. She was also photographed on a boat with him and other people.

Then in June, Shakira took in the F1 Spanish Grand Prix and cheered on Hamilton. He drove for Mercedes and came in second place.

Following the race, the rumored new couple and a group of friends got some dinner and drinks. Hamilton and Shakira sat next to one another, and he had his arm wrapped around her waist.

An insider revealed that Shakira and Hamilton have become “more than friends following a “secret” trip to her home in Ibiza.

Clearly, Shakira has moved on from her cheating ex-partner.

Shakira opened up about her split from Piqué and what she’s learned since their June 2022 breakup.

"It’s been a year where I've realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be," Shakira said during her Latin Women in Music gala speech. "Because what woman hasn't at some time in her life forgotten herself because she's seeking the attention and love of someone else? It happened to me, more than once.”

The former FC Barcelona defender reportedly cheated on Shakira throughout their decade-long relationship.

"But there comes a time in the life of every woman where she no longer depends on someone else to love and accept herself just as she is," she said. "A time when the search for someone else is replaced by the search for oneself. A time when the desire to be perfect is replaced by the desire to be authentic, and where finding someone who is faithful is less important than being faithful to ourselves."
