Salma Hayek In Lacy White Dress Shares ‘Beautiful Message’ About Hummingbirds

Actress Salma Hayek is opening up about hummingbirds only days after her 57th birthday.

The Mexican-American actress took to Instagram to share the Mayan legend about hummingbirds as she posed for a photo wearing a lacy white dress.

On Tuesday afternoon, the “Black Mirror” actress took to Instagram to share a single photograph that featured her wearing a lacy white dress. Her long dark hair is pulled back out of her face as she smolders for the shot, sporting a bold red lip. There are several windchimes hovering around her face, including one that looks like a hummingbird made of colorful glass.

“The Mayan legend considers hummingbirds as messengers from the deceased. The hummingbird is also an animal that represents joy and luck. So maybe when we see them it's our loved ones reminding us to be joyous and to have hope, worst case scenario they’re just gorgeous to watch,” she wrote in the caption along with the hashtag “hummingbird.”

She also repeated her message in Spanish, writing, “La leyenda maya considera a los colibríes como mensajeros de los difuntos. El colibrí también es un animal que representa la alegría y la suerte. Así que tal vez cuando los vemos, son nuestros seres queridos recordándonos de ser alegres y tener esperanza; en el peor de los casos, simplemente son hermosos de observar. #colibrí.”

“So pretty,” one fan commented. “Such a beautiful message to embrace hope and luck as we embark on a new month!!!” another follower exclaimed. “Indeed! That bird is like a lucky charm,” a third fan chimed in. “That's a beautiful reflection. Thanks for sharing with us,” another follower wrote. “Salma is pure art amalgamated in celestial energy and sent to earth to make our lives better,” another fan added.

This can be loosely translated as: “When I was 18 years old my mom and I got a hummingbird tattoo @salmahayek It means a lot to me because not only is it a symbol for my country, Cuba ??, but it also means freedom. Every time I see my tattoo I remember that there is freedom of speech and freedom of thought and love.”

The “From Dusk Till Dawn” actress is a big fan of nature. In another recent Instagram post, she danced around and around in a two-piece colorful bathing suit and a matching robe. The thin fabric spun around her arms as she twirled around and around in circles, letting her dark hair get tossed this way and that. She hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses as she twirled barefoot on the ground, showing off her pedicure.

The cycle is all that is known.” Salma not only liked the comment but dropped a red heart and a raised hands emoji on it as well!
