The "Bad Girls Club" star who is accused of going on a spending spree with a dead man's debit card is now being accused of violating her terms of release by traveling out of state for an appearance, and now she's brought in the big guns to help keep her out of prison.
According to a filing by the U.S. Attorney, Shannade Clermont is accused of violating her conditions of release by "traveling without authorization to Detroit, Michigan last Friday, July 27, 2018."
As we reported, the reality star is on a strict set of conditions for her release, which included travel restrictions, drug testing and pretrial supervision. She was bailed out by her twin sister, Shannon.
Clermont went to Michigan for an appearance at TRUTH Gentlemen's Club, and a special agent called the manager at the strip club, located on 8 mile road, and confirmed that she actually was present for the event.
As a response to the violation, the U.S. Attorney now wants a request to travel to Pennsylvania this weekend denied, and further wants to restrict her travel as her criminal case remains pending.
Clermont is preparing for a big fight in court, and The Blast has learned she has retained defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman. Lichtman is the same attorney who was hired by El Chapo last year to represent the Mexican drug lord in the criminal case against him in the United States.
He also famously successfully kept John Gotti, Jr out of prison in a $25 million securities fraud case years ago.
The Blast broke the story, the former model for Kanye West's Yeezy Season 6 is accused of acquiring information from two debit cards belonging to a man who had allegedly hired the reality star as a prostitute hours before he was discovered dead from a drug overdose. Clermont is not implicated in the man’s death, however investigators linked her to over $20,000 in purchases made on the stolen cards between February 2017 and May 2017.
Clermont was released into the custody after posting $100,000 bail. As per the conditions of her release, she must submit to drug testing and treatment, pretrial supervision, and cannot possess a firearm.
She is set to appear in court later this month.
