Mel B Showed Out To Celebrate Daughter Angel's Academic Milestone

Mel B commemorated her daughter Angel's GCSE results in style!

Not one to be left behind, the multitalented Spice Girl positively radiated as she shared a collection of videos and pictures, capturing her elation at her baby girl's academic achievement. She shares the teen with prominent actor and comedian Eddie Murphy, whom she dated for a few months before they broke up in December 2006.

Mel has always shown off her fashion style and love for her children publicly. The opportunity to combine both came on Monday when she had to turn up with her daughter, whose full name is Angel Iris Murphy Brown, in celebration of the latter's academic exploits.

Taking to Instagram, the doting mama bear uploaded a slew of content highlighting the daring outfit that she wore for the occasion. Starting with a clip of her strutting to a parked car, the "Dancing with the Stars US" contestant donned a skintight minidress that stopped inches before her knees, a two-toned long-sleeved jacket, red-tinted sunglasses, and sky-high white boots.

The outfit and happy mother returned with Angel by her side in the next slide, with the 16-year-old looking bashful as they walked down the road together. The mother-daughter duo then ventured to the upscale TADA restaurant in Leeds for a Japanese dining experience.

Accompanying them was Mel's boyfriend, Rory McPhee, who turned the camera to selfie mode to capture a heartwarming celebratory snapshot while his woman took photographs of some highlights from their meal. Views from the fun night out wrapped up with footage of the "Voodoo Princess" presenter walking up the stairs and collapsing onto a couch with a throw pillow that had the words, "Happiness is homemade."

Although the proud matriarch did not specify what results Angel had achieved, she did disclose in the caption that the teen had reached her goal of attending art school. Since they were besotted with the "This Is My Moment" star's beauty and figure, her fans quickly swooped into the comment section to express themselves.

"You look gorgeous ❤️❤️??," one person lauded as another dubbed Mel the "Goddess of Goddesses!" A third netizen penned, "wow mel you are one hot lady" alongside a slew of heart face emojis, and a fourth declared, "Mel you look amazing."

"Looking gorgeous Mel, Leeds' favourite daughter!" a fifth cybercitizen exclaimed, while a sixth succinctly gushed, "Those booooooots ??."

While the "Viva Forever" hitmaker is living her best life with Angel, she previously ran into a bit of family trouble when her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte asked a judge to allow him to relocate to Miami, Florida, alongside their underage daughter, Madison Belafonte. Per The Blast, the director penned in his court docs, which were filed in March:

"I am asking the court to allow me to relocate Madison, with whom I have approximately an 82% timeshare, to Miami Florida, pursuant to Family Code Section 7501. By relocating to Miami, there would be no prejudice to Melanie or need to modify any custodial orders given that Melanie, who lives in the United Kingdom (the "UK"), has already been residing away from Madison since 2019."

After noting that relocating to the second most popular city in Florida would allow him "to maintain a stable job without the need for frequent business travel" that would separate him from his daughter, he claimed that he is "committed to ensuring that Madison maintains a strong and healthy relationship with her mother."

Belafonte and Mel have since become locked in a legal dispute, with the latter asking for full custody of their 11-year-old daughter.

Amid the custody battle between her and her ex-husband, the "Step It Up and Dance" guest judge has reportedly said 'yes' to spending the rest of her life with her current man. As The Blast reported last October, McPhee proposed to the Scary Spice icon on a Wednesday at the luxurious country hotel, Cliveden House, located in Berkshire. 

Those familiar with the situation shared that the artist was "overwhelmed" by the moment and became emotional, shedding tears of joy when her boyfriend knelt down and presented the ring.

The engagement ring itself boasts a champagne-colored pear-shaped diamond set in a rose gold band adorned with smaller, brilliantly cut diamond accents. According to an insider:

"Mel is so happy, and this is such a big deal for her because she has been through such a lot. It has taken a huge amount for a man to get her to trust him and to believe in love again."
