Heather Dubrow has shared fresh information concerning the medical crisis her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, encountered earlier this month.

The Dubrows' world had temporarily tipped over when Terry experienced a health incident marked by temporary slurring of his words during a dinner date with his wife and one-half of their twin kids, Nick.

Although he was initially reluctant to seek medical attention, the "Botched" doctor eventually gave in to Heather's plea, They visited the hospital, where an examination revealed that a blood clot had traversed through a hole in his heart into his brain. Now, Heather has opened up about the dangers of his health problems and how deadly they could have become without proper care and attention.

Heather Dubrow Revealed How Terry Dubrow Would Have Died Without Her Insistence On THIS

Weeks after Terry suffered a patent foramen ovale (PFO), resulting in a transient ischemic attack (TIA), commonly known as a ministroke, Heather spoke out about her biggest fears. She did so during the recent episode of "Let's Talk with Heather Dubrow," where she narrated the events of the fateful evening.

Starting the story, she recounted that it "was a beautiful night out," with Nick asking about a front-door security code. Although Terry tried to ask him, "What's the code?" he "completely slurred the entire sentence."

Immediately picking up on the oddness of the conversation, the actress tried asking if he was okay but saw that his eyes "were gone — not there. And he started just, like, a little jibberish. Nonsensical... with food in his mouth."

While the "Malibu Country" alum briefly entertained the idea that her beau might be joking, that mindset swiftly changed when she grasped the seriousness of the situation. To that end, "I immediately stood up, and I looked at Nicky, and I said, 'Call 911,' and I looked over at the maître d', and said, 'Call 911," and had Terry spit out his food.

When the ambulance arrived, Terry complied and got inside. However, the plastic surgeon unexpectedly walked out of the ambulance moments later, opting to order an Uber as he maintained he was fine. The couple eventually walked and spent an estimated 30 minutes strolling along Beverly Hills street, with Terry visibly upset by what he considered Heather's exaggerated reaction. 

Finally, after two hours, the medical professionals that Heather had contacted convinced the "License to Kill" star to seek help. Upon reaching the hospital, where he holds a staff position, the 64-year-old underwent a series of tests, including an MRI.

The reality star, who expected to go back out for sushi, was soon shocked when medical professionals rolled in a monitor for him to review his test results. As he examined them, he involuntarily exclaimed per Extra, "F**k! I had a TIA!" — a situation that aligned with the ministroke that Heather had dreaded.

Over the following days, Terry discovered he had a congenital heart defect — a patent foramen ovale (PFO) — that had not fully sealed after birth. A blood clot traversed through this opening, the PFO journeying to his brain and triggering the ministroke.

Reflecting on the situation, Heather expressed that if she had given in and allowed Terry to go home, he likely would not have survived. Since then, doctors have rectified the issue with the PFO, and Terry is in the process of healing.

Two months before the scary health emergency, The Blast noted that the "Real Housewives of Orange County" marked their 24th wedding anniversary. To celebrate the significant milestone, Heather posted a video that showed her and her husband staring at each other lovingly, alongside a caption highlighting the tips for their long-lasting romance. 

Kicking off, the "That's Life" actress asked her fans, who likely live with their partners, to "Have separate bathrooms." Next, she advised them to "date your spouse," adding, "No, really, don't stop going on dates … ever!"

She told couples about the importance of "letting things go" before adding a crucial suggestion for handling conflicts, emphasizing that arguing should be avoided "when tired or under the influence of alcohol."

The "Stark Raving Mad" performer then wrapped up by delving into her extensive shared history with Terry, reflecting, "Marriage is a leap of faith — but if you're lucky and work hard at it, you get to do life with your best friend and partner in crime! Like me & T."
