Boyfriend Of Instagram Influencer Beauty Couch Arrested For Her Murder

An arrest has been made in the murder of Instagram influencer Beauty Couch.

Police have arrested Eugene Louis-Jacques in the connection with the murder of his girlfriend Couch, 22, whose body was found near a burned vehicle last week. The 21-year-old was arrested for murder, arson and aggravated assault.

Louis-Jacques was arrested in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana on Thursday, according to WWL-TV.

"Let the message be that we do not take kindly to people who think they can commit a crime elsewhere and try to hide in St. Tammany Parish," Sheriff Randy Smith said. "We were happy to help our counterparts in Georgia by locating this suspect."

Couch, who also went by Beauty Katera, was found near a burned vehicle in Georgia last week. The Austell Fire Department responded to a call for a "brush fire" on Wednesday morning according to a statement by the Cobb County Police Department. Upon arrival, they located a car fully engulfed in flames.

Police searched the area the car was found and located a body that matched the description of Couch. Alex Hayes with the Austell Police Department said that if they didn't go back to check for more clues after finding the vehicle, they may have never found her body. After the initial investigation, foul play was suspected.

Couch was a popular roller skating influencer on Instagram with more than 150,000 followers. Couch's sister, Leila Brown, said she impacted a lot of people.

"I can't imagine her being in this situation at all because she was so lovable, so caring, so fun, and so amazing," Brown said. "She impacted a lot of people and she did nothing to anybody for anyone to want to do her like this."

Couch's social media followers left their condolences on her most recent posts. Many expressed their shock and sadness from the tragic loss.

"This brought tears to my eyes 😢 I sent her a email because my 10 year old loves the way she skates! And she was gonna do online classes. When I spoke to her she was so kind swear. Now we are from Pittsburgh 😢 sending prayers and love to the family and friends lord this is, 😢" one person wrote in the comments of her last Instagram post.

Another follower shared her sadness explaining that she's been a fan for a long time.

"I cannot believe this!!! I am gagging and so sad. Never have I met you but I’ve been following you for so long and I just loved YOU. I am so sad to hear this and wish this was not real. I admired you like I knew you personally. May you rest in peace. I am so sorry!! 😢" she wrote.

Another fan also talked about how they admired Couch and wish her friends comfort during this time. "This sincerely makes me sick af…I rly wish her close & personal friends the best fr. I admired her seriously..it’s situations like this that make u feel like death isn’t real."

Another fan shared appreciation for the influencer. "Appreciate every talk, advice and moment we was able to share together. Not a time or memory wasted. Thank you for those."
