Liam Payne has been grappling with a severe health condition, one he says he wouldn't wish on his worst foe. Unfortunately, this ailment has compelled him to cancel his upcoming tour.

In a message addressed to his fans on Instagram, the One Direction star conveyed his disappointment, explaining, "It's with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America."

He further shared, "Over the past week I've been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, It's something I wouldn't wish on anyone, and doctor's orders are that I now need to rest and recover." Payne expressed his remorse to ticket holders and assured them of efforts to reschedule while refunding in the interim.

The tour was supposed to happen in September, with the singer performing in Peru, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico.

During an interview with iFL TV before a boxing match in London in May, he mentioned, "I've been making an album for a change, which is quite fun."
