Walt Disney World is home to four theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom — two water parks — Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon — and over 25 Disney Resort hotels.

The Walt Disney World Resort hotels offer many amenities, which makes staying on property so much more magical for families around the world. One of the best perks of staying at a Disney World hotel is the special-themed pools at each Resort.

Walt Disney World Resort currently has a total of 54 pools located across their hotels on property. Though, this does not include hot tubs or jacuzzis located at the hotels -- only public pools.

Unfortunately, for those staying at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club, the Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pools will be closed for refurbishment.

According to Disney, Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pools at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for five months for routine maintenance.

Luckily, this refurbishment won't take place until January 2025 and will only last five months. Unfortunately, with this being one of Disney World's most popular poolss (if not the most popular pool on property), those who booked a stay at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club may be disappointed when they cannot utilize the gigantic 795,000-gallon pool.

With 795,000 gallons of water comprising an impressive complex of pools that range from swirling to placid, open to secluded and cool to warm, every member of your family can find a place to make a splash at Stormalong Bay.

For those Guests visiting Walt Disney World between January 2025 and May 2025 who planned on staying at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club, they can still swim at the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools.

The Tidal pool is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort in a garden area on the far end of the resort facing Crescent Lake. This 43,000-gallon pool also features a steaming whirlpool spa.

The Admiral pool, which is also located in a garden area, is at Disney's Yacht Club. Both Disney's Yacht and Beach Club are connected to one another, meaning whichever Resort you are staying at, you can use the amenities at the sister Resort as well.

Lastly, the 55,350-gallon Dunes Cove, is privately located at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, but all Resort Guests are able to utilize it.
