In the caption of her latest Instagram post, Paulina shared a photo of her “58-year-old face without fillers, Botox or surgery in good light with professional gorgeous makeup,” which she credited to makeup artist Ivana Tokarska. Later in the video, she shares her face without any makeup on.

“I have had lasers (ultherapy and Morpheus ) and used SPF religiously since my early twenties,” she explained. “I have chosen not to put anything ‘into’ my face - but even with the fanciest creams and lasers that promise to restore some collagen- I am aging.”

“Some days, I like it. I feel like my face has gained character even as it’s lost its youthful prettiness. And it seems a fair trade-off,” she continued. “Other days, (and this is mostly only if I do a photoshoot), I have to gulp some self-acceptance. I have changed. Fortunately, this change also means being wiser. And bolder. So I keep gulping self-acceptance.”

“I won’t skip over the obvious- that there is a love in my life who finds me beautiful, and tells me so with words and actions every day- and this is really the only one I NEED to hear - But! I was on the same path before meeting him,” she went on. “I wanted to be able to accept myself as I am. And needed to know that those who love me - love me for the truth of who I am rather than who I pretend to be or who I’m expected to be.”

“Outside, I have changed. I’m told by society - for the worse. Inside, I have also changed. I’m told by those who matter- for the better. When I close my eyes, I have never felt so desirable or beautiful,” she added. “When I open them, the world has never been as beautiful as it is now. So another gulp of self-acceptance. Maybe, one day I can just look and see myself as I see others.”

The “Anna” actress has gained a large following on Instagram for her transparent posts about aging in the public eye and this one was no exception. “Audrey Hepburn didn’t have any work done and she was beautiful. It’s a pleasure to see someone age naturally. We all feel so much pressure to look young,” one fan commented. Paulina replied, “Actually, she did have ‘work done’ in her fifties. A tasteful facelift. No one, no matter how genetically blessed has that firm jaw past 55. Zero judgment here- I may do the same one day.”

“Please don't come at me, but I believe you look younger without makeup. I know that's not the goal to ‘look younger,’ but I guess after a certain age, we certainly don't want to look older than we are,” another follower wrote. Paulina responded, “I think makeup can age - but this is what I look like.”

“This is what I would like to see on the cover of Vogue. A gorgeous woman who loves herself enough not to airbrush the life out of her face!” a third fan commented. Paulina replied, “Models are not responsible for airbrushing. It’s the magazines!"

“Not just the magazine, it’s the companies that make the products as well. The photographers aren’t going to publish anything until the fashion editors run the images by advertising executives on Madison Ave. & company executives,” another follower chimed in. “It takes a lot of people to perpetuate the mythical notions that some people never age. Models are not told how the sausage is made.”

Actor Cheyenne Jackson even took the time to comment, “You’re such a cutie. Thank you for your truth. So needed in this filtered curated world” to which Paulina replied, “Ah, thank you!!!”
