After a few rough months dealing with some life changes, Chris Rooney, known as the TikTok famous Yeet Baby's uncle, recently shared that he "got the help" he needed.

Rooney's family announced on social media that he checked himself into a mental health facility in early August.

"As many of you know, his life the last 6 months have been nothing short of difficult. What you all witnessed leading up to his disappearance was all of his emotions coming to a head. Prior to his disappearance he had seen the movie Sound of Freedom, and like many others, he was sick to his core over it. This prompted him to post links to raise money for the cause of ending child sex trafficking," the announcement reads.

"To many of you this many have seemed odd, but he genuinely wanted and still wants to help this cause. Unfortunately, it was posted at a time that he was also visibly not in his right mind and not acting like the Chris we know and love."

The Instagram post continued to explain that he was presumed missing the next day and his family and friends feared the worst. They shared information on social media in the hopes of aiding police in their search. Many hours later, they got word that he checked himself into a mental health facility.

"We are sure you all still have a lot of questions, but those are for Uncle Chris to answer once he is healthy and ready to share his experience," the post continued. "He is currently being treated at a mental health facility. Your thoughts and prayers have been so appreciated by him and his family during this time."

Two weeks after his family shared that news, Rooney has shared an update on his Instagram page.

"Thank you for your thoughts and prayers everyone, it is truly appreciated. I spent 17 days (not that I was counting) in a mental health facility. Had to have my mother pick me up ? Very glad I got the help I needed and love being back!" the caption to a photo of him and him mom reads.

Thousands of supportive sentiments filled the comment section of the post.

"You kept our whole family laughing throughout Covid and now it’s our turn to be here for you! It takes more strength to do what you just did for 17 days and I respect you even more! You’re truly a very beautiful strong man and you have so much support behind you so just remember that???," one person shared.

Another person wrote, "Welcome back Chris! Take your time. We are here for the long haul."

One follower pointed out, "This entire comment section should be framed given to all young adults!! Hell it should be given to everyone! The support here is phenomenal!!"

His roommate while at the facility also took to the comments to support Rooney. "Ahhhh my roomie is out!! Glad your doin better and with your fam ❤️. You made my stay in there lit hahaha especially the first day ??‍♂️. Will never forget man."

Rooney's family shared some happy news on their Instagram page in honor of back-to-school time.

"What are the chances that Mar and Uncle Chris go back to school the same day 22 years apart ? thank you for the support and prayers everyone, it is truly appreciated. More sends it coming up when things calm down a little! One step at a time," the caption reads.

Many fans dropped into the comments to leave words of support, love and make sure Rooney knows that they are proud of him and his choices.

"Uncle Chris’s bravery in sharing his story is admirable, as is the unwavering support from his family who clearly loves him beyond these priceless videos. Best to all of you- keep putting one foot in front of the other, Chris ???," one person wrote.

Another added, "Just glad you’re back ❤️? Do you 100% of the time. The transparency you and your family have shown in this situation is refreshing and admirable."
