Shanna Moakler Enjoys Underwater Diving With Daughter Atiana

Shanna Moakler is diving into an adventure with her daughter Atiana.

The dynamic duo showed that their love for a different kind of thrill runs deep as they delved into the world beneath the surface. The pair created what many would consider lasting memories, proving that their mother-daughter bond knows no bounds.

The model took her followers on a sea trek journey like no other via a video on her Instagram story, which showed them floating at the bottom of a hallway-like space with windows. They sported appropriate gear consisting of a scuba suit and an underwater helmet. 

As the mother-of-three moved the camera, the 24-year-old could be seen beside her mother smiling happily and holding a starfish. In the short clip humorously captioned, "@atianadelahoya. What the hell was I thinking letting us do this ?," sea creatures like sharks of different sizes and other adventurers like the mother-daughter duo could be seen.

Last month, after her former partner Oscar De La Hoya's candid revelations about his connection with their daughter, The Blast reported that the actress treated her fans to an adorable snapshot of the twosome on a dinner date, accompanied by the caption, "Dinner with my sassy Latina. I love you @atianadelahoya."

In the photo, she rocked stylish sunglasses, brushing her gorgeous blonde hair to the side, while her baby girl sported an oversized sweatshirt and a small bag and offered playful expressions for the camera.

Atiana also shared a snap on her Instagram story featuring the words "Dinner date @shannamoakler" on the right. Unlike her mother's picture, the reality TV star's shot captured a bold design at the entrance, the ceiling, some diners, and the name of the sushi spot, Katsu-ya.

While it might seem like ages ago, the boxer and Moakler were previously a couple, even becoming engaged in 1998 and welcoming a child in 1999. However, their passionate relationship ended in their eventual separation when the 50-year-old attended an awards event with another woman. 

After their split, the former pageant queen entered a relationship and eventually married musician Travis Barker, who readily embraced the role of raising Atiana.

In July, the once-reclusive Golden Boy of boxing revealed his reasons for allowing the Blink-182 drummer to assume the role of his baby girl's father. Oscar disclosed during an appearance on Allison Kugel's "Allison Interviews" podcast:

"I basically ran away. I was scared. I was fearful. I did try to be a father full-time for a few years, and it was beautiful."

Even after enjoying the fulfillment of taking care of his child for some time, his prior traumas and absence of emotional guidance from his father raised doubts about his capacity to be the kind of parent she deserved. In his words:

"You try to convince yourself that you are not worthy of this; that love is not possible in your life, because of what I lived through, not receiving that love when I was a kid. My father never told me, 'I love you.'"

The boxing promoter also revealed that his mother lacked affection for him. He shared that she never hugged him and would resort to hitting him when he cried. As a result, Oscar acknowledged that while he was physically there for the "Meet the Barkers" star, he was emotionally distant, creating a unique dynamic between them. 

Despite feeling unworthy, he noted, "You have to check in, and you worry. Even though I was apart, I felt like I was always close, but I didn't feel like I was worthy enough to do the job."

Regarding their breakup, Moakler reportedly shared her feelings upon seeing him with another woman. Recalling the moment in 2001, she expressed: "I'm sitting in bed, watching the Latin Grammy awards, feeling hurt that he went without me. Then, I see him there with another woman. I was devastated. I had no idea there were any real problems in the relationship until that point."
