Disneyland Is Still Open Despite The Hurricane!

On Sunday afternoon, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria told CNN’s Jim Acosta that he was worried about potential power outages from the wind as well as flooding. “We are not used to this level of precipitation, generally. Certainly not in the middle of summer,” he said, adding, “We’re not built for this kind of rainfall. With what we’re expecting, it may overwhelm us.”

According to the National Hurricane Center, Hilary had maximum sustained winds of 60 mph at roughly 2 PM local time and was about 115 miles south-southeast of San Diego. Under nine million people, including downtown Los Angeles, were under a flash flood warning that was expected to last through Sunday night.

Even Paris Hilton Felt That Earthquake!

Although many had been expecting the hurricane and rainy weather, no one had been expecting the earthquake that shook Southern California during the hurricane. Fortunately, there were no initial reports of injuries or structural damage. Many took to social media to discuss the hurricane and the earthquake, including "Star Are Blind" singer Paris Hilton, who tweeted, "Did anyone just feel that earthquake?"
