Britney Spears Ditches Her Bra To Grab Fast Food Amid Divorce

On Friday night, Britney Spears finally addressed her split from Iranian actor Sam Asghari on Instagram.

The two started dating in 2016 after meeting on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but only fourteen months later, the actor filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Despite reports that Britney has been feeling “in great spirits” amid the divorce, she did not look like her usual chipper self in photos that were taken on Friday night.

Although the “Toxic” singer usually looks happy and excited in her Instagram videos, her familiar smile was noticeably missing as she stepped out for fast food on Friday night, the same night that she broke her silence on her divorce in a bikini dancing video that she posted on Instagram.

“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly nobody’s business !!!” she wrote on Friday night. “But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!!”

“I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but [for] some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!” she continued.

“So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty d*mn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!” she concluded, signaling that she was in a good mood despite the divorce and the allegations of her infidelity.

Unfortunately, it looks like the divorce might be taking a toll on her, despite her attempts to put on a brave front. On Saturday afternoon, the Daily Mail shared photographs of the Princess of Pop leaving Dave’s Hot Chicken in Oxnard, California, around midnight on Friday, August 18.

The pop star was spotted leaving the restaurant with a raspberry lemonade in her hand. Her security team was not far behind. Britney did not hide her eyes behind her usual sunglasses. Instead, she wore her blonde hair down and ditched her bra underneath an off-the-shoulder sweater. She kept her look casual with black jean shorts and open-toe sandals.

On Friday afternoon, an insider told People magazine that the “Stronger” singer was keeping positive amid the divorce.

They said that divorce is “never an easy thing to go through, but she’s remaining positive and focusing on the future.” They went on to add that “in great spirits despite everything going on,” adding that the couple made the decision to “move on a few weeks ago.”

In the divorce filing obtained by The Blast, the actor listed July 28, 2023, as the date of separation. He is also requesting spousal support and attorney's fees.

On Wednesday night, a source had told Page Six that the 29-year-old actor was reportedly “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

However, on Thursday night, a rep for the actor, Brandon Cohen, denied that allegation.

“There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” his rep told The Hollywood Reporter. “However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

Although the 41-year-old pop star might be in a rough spot now, there are reports that the singer is planning a major comeback. On Thursday afternoon, a source told Page Six that she is “focused” on releasing a new album around the same time her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” hits stores on October 24, 2023.

“Ideally, she would love to do a record and maybe a song for the book release,” one insider divulged, while another source shared that “She has an upcoming writers camp and is getting songs from some big artists.”
