Britney Spears Willing To Return The FREE Engagement Ring To Sam Asghari

Singer Britney Spears is willing to return her engagement ring to actor Sam Asghari, especially considering that the actor got it for free.

The former couple, who first started dating in 2016, is working on dividing their assets amid the split. Although the "Toxic" singer's prenup protects her music catalog, it looks like Sam might be contesting some of the other property that they shared. Although Britney is refusing to give up custody of the two dogs they got during their relationship, it looks like she has no problem returning the engagement ring that he received for free!

Can a girl have too many diamonds? It appears Britney might, as the “Mind Your Business” singer has absolutely no desire to hold onto her engagement ring. The 29-year-old actor popped the question on September 2021, only two months before Britney was freed before her controversial conservatorship in November that same year.

On Friday, one insider told the Daily Mail that Britney doesn’t want to keep the diamond ring that was crafted by jeweler Roman Malayev. “'Sam can have that ring. It was free from the jeweler and she doesn't want it anymore. She has enough diamonds,” the source said, noting that the ring had been given to Sam for free in order to generate publicity for the brand.

However, it’s unclear what else Sam plans to contest in the divorce. In the divorce filing, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor wrote: “Petitioner has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party. There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to Petitioner at this time.”

Earlier this week, Us Weekly dug deep into the prenup signed by the couple and found something interesting. According to the outlet,  the former couple signed an agreement that said that the 29-year-old actor would receive “$1 million per every two years” of their marriage, with a cap at $10 million after fifteen years. Since Sam filed for divorce after fourteen months together, it looks like he won’t stand to get even a million dollars.

On Friday, TMZ did all but confirm that the actor will get “no payout” amid his divorce. Although the actor requested spousal support and attorney’s fees in his divorce petition, a source noted that Britney’s prenup precludes him from getting spousal support. Although the custody of the dogs is a separate matter, it looks like Sam will not receive much, if anything, from the divorce.

The outlet also noted that there is an “extensive confidentiality clause” in the prenup that prevents Sam from speaking out on the divorce. This is especially notable for fans, who have been concerned for the pop star ever since Wednesday night, when a source told Page Six that the 29-year-old actor was reportedly “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

However, on Thursday, his rep Brandon Cohen told The Hollywood Reporter that he had no intention of challenging the prenup. “There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos,” he said. “However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

Earlier on Thursday, the actor took to his Instagram Stories to address the split for the first time. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Sh*t happens. Asking for privacy seems [ridiculous] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

Late Friday night, Britney also took to Instagram to break her silence on the divorce. “As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because it's honestly nobody’s business !!!” she wrote in the caption of a bikini dancing video. “But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!!”
