Zooey Deschanel & Fiancé Jonathan Scott Enjoy Paris After Lowkey Engagement

Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are celebrating their engagement in the city of love! 

After dating for four years, Scott asked Deschanel to marry on August 14 during a family trip to Scotland with her two children, Elsie, 8, and Charlie, 6, whom she shares with her ex-husband, playing a part in the proposal. 

Following their engagement, the pair treated themselves to a getaway vacation to commemorate their forever love.

The lovely couple were all smiles as they basked in the euphoria of their love in a foreign country, where most lovers dream of going! Showing off their passion to the world, the pair took their Instagram to post stunning pictures of themselves enjoying their sweet vacation.

In the first slide, Deschanel and Scott took a side-by-side picture, posing in front of the French capital's iconic Eiffel Towers with bright smiles plastered on their faces.

The ''New Girl'' actress looked radiant, sporting a blue leather jacket and a boater hat. The brunette beauty had her long layered hair with bangs cascading down her shoulders. 

On the other hand, the ''Property Brothers'' host opted for a pink collared shirt he wore on top of a blue T-shirt. The handsome TV personality had his short black hair gelled to the back. The next slide showed the happy couple with sun-kissed faces. They snapped a smiling selfie in another part of the city, wearing different outfits and rocking fancy sunglasses.

The post was simply captioned, ''Amour de ma vie ❤,'' translated in English to mean, ''Love of my life.'' Aside from the heartwarming photos receiving thousands of likes, fans trooped to the comments section to praise the couple.

Deschanel and Scott's Paris trip comes days after the lovebirds took to social media to announce that they would be taking their relationship to the next level. The pair posted a delightful picture on Instagram alongside a caption that read, ''Forever starts now!!! ?♾️?.''

In the snap, the ''Yes Man'' actress and Scott were seen in front of a stone structure with their faces touching and looking beyond elated after getting engaged to each other.

In addition, Deschanel raised her left hand, revealing manicured nails, colored different shades of pink while putting her shiny engagement ring on full display. The expensive-looking ring showed a connection of multiple shiny rocks.

As expected, over a million followers liked the joyful post and flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages. One fan raved, ''That's so exciting! Congratulations!!! ❤❤❤.'' Deschanel and Scott's engagement was meant to be, seeing as their romance withstood the travails that came with the COVID-19 pandemic. The mom of two spilled the tea about her relationship with the reality TV personality during the 2021 Environmental Media Association Awards.

Granting an interview,' the ''Elf'' actress disclosed that her romance with her financé strengthened during the quarantine period. Deschanel and Scott got to spend time with each other, and the actress even introduced her two kids to the TV personality during this period.

Confirming their solid relationship, Scott also gushed about his unwavering affection for the mom of two. He said, ''Look at it this way, I'm stuck with someone who I'm madly in love with who's an amazing chef.''

The 45-year-old further noted that, unlike his previous relationships, this was the first time he observed that his feelings and efforts were being reciprocated.
