Simone Biles & Jonathan Owens Reveal The Vows They Exchanged On Their Wedding Day

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are giving fans a glimpse into the vows that cemented their love. The lovebirds channeled poets on their wedding day, sealing their love with the most beautiful words.

In May, the famed gymnast and the Green Bay Packers player got hitched three times with three different weddings. Though it has been almost three months since the couple said ‘I do,’ they still give fans glimpses of their exotic unions.

The newlyweds, alongside their wedding photographer, serenaded Instagram with a cinematic clip of their dreamy wedding. The clip consisted of different beautiful moments of the nuptials.

Scenes from the video showed the bride and groom dressing up, the epic moment of the bride walking down the aisle, their first kiss, and the party with their friends and family.

While those moments were captivating, nothing warmed hearts more than the personalized vows the lovebirds exchanged. “Jonathan James Owens,” Biles said as she read her vows. “From the first day I met you, I knew I had found my future husband. I knew something felt different because everything felt so real. I promise to be your honest, faithful, loving wife for the rest of my days, and I’m so happy I get to love you forever.”

When the Olympic athlete was done, the football player took over with his promises of love to his wife. “Simone, my best friend, my now wife, the best thing that has ever happened to me,” Owens said, looking at his wife with the utmost admiration.

Fighting back his tears, he continued, “ I just love you so much, babe.” And I wouldn’t trade this moment, my family, or my friends for anything. You just complete me as a person; you’re my better half. I’m just excited, baby. I love you so much.”

Although it feels like the lovers exchanged vows only yesterday, time has begun to tick on their marital journey. In June, the ESPY award winner celebrated one month of her union with the NFL star releasing unseen pictures from their weddings.

One alluring photo captured the sweethearts in each other’s arms while still in their wedding outfits. The gymnast looked stunning as ever in her dazzling white dress with a lengthy train, while her man complimented her look with a beige suit and brown shoes.

Biles announced in the caption, “One month into forever loving you.” Naturally, fans filled the comments raving about the duo’s romance. One fan gushed, “If pure love was a person.” One other admirer commented that the partners were “Wonderful.” A third admirer added, “Beautiful couple – I love [how] y’all compliment each other – Happy anniversary.”

With the luxurious wedding over, Biles and Owens are basking in their married life. However, the marital ride hasn't been so blissful, as Biles revealed that distance is challenging for them. The gymnast queen got candid about the distance issue during an Instagram Q&A session when a fan asked, “How often do you see your husband?”

Replying to the question, the 26-year-old athlete referred to her husband’s switching teams, writing, “When he was in Houston, every day!!!!! But he’s in green bay now.” She added she’d be able to see him briefly. “It will be at 1 of the 3 pre-season games but just quickly after… like 35mins.”

Biles also revealed she and her husband were figuring out how to handle the distance and when they’d spend time together. Biles further admitted, “Long distance is tough & both being professional athletes is hard… for our schedules…”

For those unaware, the NFL star got signed to the Green Bay Packers in May, and as expected, he had to leave for the preseason game. At the time of the signing, no one was more excited and heartbroken at the same time than his Olympic gold medalist wife.

Not one to hold back her feelings, Biles took to her Instagram to express sadness about her man leaving her. She uploaded a gloomy picture of herself in a car. Her eyes were puffy, and her usually perfect hair was messy. In the post’s caption, the new wife explained why she looked sad. She wrote, “Bawled my eyes out this morning when Jonathan left for Green Bay.”
