Josh Waring, the son of former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Lauri Peterson, claims he was subjected to "cruel and unusual punishment" when multiple rounds of pepper-spray were deployed into his jail cell, and now he wants millions of dollars.

According to documents, obtained by The Blast, Waring claims on June 24 while incarcerated at the Intake Release Center in OC, deputies "deployed five non-lethal pepper balls" into his cell. He says the "use of force" was "unprovoked" and did not stem from any sort of violent situation that warranted the alleged response.

A source close to Waring, who is currently behind bars in OC on a murder charge, claims after he was hit with the pepper-ball rounds, "no means of decontamination including water, fresh air or medical attention" was provided.

He believes the "assault" was retaliation for his attempts to dismiss his criminal case, and for the internal investigation over his recorded phone calls.

For his "pain and suffering," Waring is demanding $2 million from the county, on top of the $1.4 million he wants for having his phone calls recorded.
