It looks like Jamie Lynn Spears is again on the outs with pop star Britney Spears even despite the fact that her husband, Sam Asghari, has filed for divorce.
Although Britney claimed that she visited her sister on the set of "Zoey 102" back in June, it appears that the two have had a falling out again, prompting even more concern for Britney's well-being.
Jamie Lynn Spears Talks SAG-AFTRA Strike Amid Britney Spears' Divorce From Sam Asghari
On Thursday, only one day after Sam Asghari filed for divorce, Jamie Lynn took to Instagram to share a photo of her on the picket lines. In the caption, she wrote, “Had my #SAG card, before I had my driver's license.” The child star limits comments on her posts, preventing fans from asking about the nature of her relationship with the "Toxic" singer.
Unfortunately, it looks like the two are not on good terms again, even though Britney claimed that she had visited her sister on the set of “Zoey 102” earlier this year. One source told Page Six that the meeting never actually took place, despite Britney’s claim on social media. The source added that Britney is also not on speaking terms with her mother.
“Her meeting with her mom, went OK, but there’s still a lot of hurt there, so they haven’t quite reconciled,” the insider said. “Britney is still very angry with Jamie Lynn, too.” They added that Britney is “isolated, especially now without Sam” but said that she is “hanging in there, all things considered.”
Britney Spears Seems To Be 'Isolated' From Mom, Sister Amid Divorce
On Thursday, an insider also told TMZ that Britney is again not on speaking terms with her mother, Lynne Spears, even though they were thought to have made up in May when Lynne traveled all the way from Louisiana to Los Angeles to visit the pop star at her Thousand Oaks estate. Britney also claimed to have visited her sister on the set of “Zoey 102.”
Britney has been estranged from her two teenage sons for a long time and has not physically seen them in over a year. The two boys declined to see her before their move to Hawaii, which took place on August 1. A source told the outlet, "She has one confidant, [her manager] Cade [Hudson]. Then there's her security team, and after that, her support system falls off a cliff."
Is Britney's Memoir A Reason Why Their Relationship Has Soured?
It looks like Britney's highly anticipated memoir, "The Woman In Me," might be the reason for the alleged bad blood between Britney and her estranged family. Over the weekend, sources told The Sun that the “Gimme More” singer has not told her family what she wrote about them in her tell-all book. An insider divulged that the pop star “has not told her mom, Lynne, the full extent of what is written about their family and past dramas in her upcoming memoir. Lynne is unaware of the entirety of the subject matters covered by her daughter, despite the couple talking again.”
“Britney has kept her cards close to her chest about what is in the memoir,” the source continued. “She has been chomping at the bit to present her experiences of becoming famous and what role her parents played – and Lynne is being kept in the dark about what Britney will say about their relationship.” Sources say that her publicist at Simon and Schuster have also warned Britney to “keep her talk about her experiences in the book just to those closest in her life.”
"Britney doesn’t want to sugarcoat her tough family dynamics. For almost two decades Britney feels that her parents have run the narrative about her life, and now it’s her turn to put her version out to the world,” the source warned, adding, “Britney made it clear to her mother that she wants to have her version of her life put out publicly after so long seeing others talking about her. However just where it leaves the mother and daughter relationship after the book release is still to be determined.”
Britney's memoir "The Woman In Me" is scheduled for release on October 24, 2023.
