Despite losing thousands of followers on social media, Doja Cat is not bothered as she sends a strong declaration to her haters.

It is no news that Doja and her fans have not been on good terms for months, given that there has been a series of online exchanges resulting in a massive unfollowing.

Still, she feels freer than ever and voiced so recently, implying that being unfollowed made her feel like a conqueror and discover those who truly love her as she is.

Doja Cat Wants To 'Reconnect With People Who Really Matter' After Losing Massive Fan Base

Weeks after the 27-year-old rapper lost a boatload of followers, she reacted with a message about freedom on her Instagram Story. She proclaimed, "Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I've defeated a large beast that's been holding me down for so long," adding, "And it feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who I am and not for who I was."

Doja shared the declaration against a picture of moving cars on a highway, similar to her ensuing post featuring a cryptic message that read, "I do not 'fart,' my ass simply whispers."

Last month, the "Mooo!" singer lost about 200k followers on Instagram and was forced to delete her Threads account given an intense clash between her and her fans. The dispute also led three of her biggest Twitter stan accounts to deactivate their profiles. They included Doja HQ, The Kittens Room, and Doja Cat News.

It happened that Doja told them and other fans to "get a life, get a job, and help your parents with the house." One of her followers even informed her that she had held a poll on Twitter to choose a name for her fans in 2020.  However, the "Purrr!" star's response was disparaging as she told the fan that she created the poll as an "alcoholic teen," adding, "My fans don't call themselves s–t."

The drama did not end there, as Doja's boyfriend, comedian Jeffrey Cyrus was also dragged into the discourse. The couple went public with their romance in November 2022, after which they were photographed sharing a kiss on a yacht. Not long after the images spread online, a few people publicly accused Cyrus of sexual misconduct and grooming.

The critics uploaded screenshots of posts from Doja's beau, where he referenced previous sexual assaults he may have done. The accusations troubled the "Say So" musician, leading her to attack her fans on Twitter and Threads. One tweet read, "I don't give a fuck what you think about my personal life."

She also blocked some of her followers, warning them against using her "government name," Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini.    Doja told one follower, "You making my government name your [screen name] is creepy as f**k." The scandal may affect ticket sales for the "So High" star's upcoming The Scarlet Tour, which starts on Halloween night in San Francisco.

As fans counted down to the tour, Doja unveiled its symbolic artwork but it did not receive positive reactions as it was instantly bashed as satanic. Some of her Instagram followers also described her tour as a "sacrifice ritual" and "devil worship show," given the bloody-themed artwork.

In one fan's words, "Not going to devil worship show," another claimed, "She looks like she just killed a bunch of kids."

The 'Planet Her' Star's Fans Demanded An Apology Following Deactivation Of Stan Accounts

Doja's online feud with her fan base only got more heated as they recently demanded an apology for her hurtful remarks.

In addition to telling her followers, who call themselves "kittens," to ditch their phones and "get a job," the pop star hinted that she did not love them because she did not know them.

While it led to several of her stan accounts' deactivation, some of the accounts' owners spoke out about their decision and the need for an apology from Doja.
