Andy Cohen's Mom Seems To Be Rooting For John Mayer In Her Unique Way

Andy Cohen is not the only one in his family with affection for his longtime friend John Mayer as his mom, Evelyn Cohen, feels the same way about the musician.

Andy and Mayer's friendship has always been a major topic among fans, given how genuine they are, which Evelyn seems to support as she recently expressed so in a special way.

Andy's mom went into full hostess mode during Mayer's recent visit to Hamptons, New York, as seen on the Bravo star's Instagram. He dropped a photo of his mother grinning and on her knees as she steamed the Grammy Award winner's white button-down shirt, hanging from a lamp post beside an unmade bed.

While busy with the clothing, Mayer stood behind the elderly female, watching her progress in disbelief, with his hand partly covering his mouth.

The duo was captured in a sunlit room and looked well at home. Evelyn wore shorts and a white T-shirt while her guest opted for cargo pants and a black T-shirt, exposing his tattooed arm.  Andy, who tagged his close pal on the post, revealed how dedicated his mother gets with house guests. "My mom stops at nothing to help other house guests!" he exclaimed in the caption.

Over 155k fans found the post adorable, similar to the numerous commenters who showered Evelyn with praises for being the best mom. "Your mom is precious," one commenter quipped. "Can't let you boys be wrinkled for your big night out. I love this so much! ❤️"

Another shared, "Ahh, she is so sweet," while a third fan proclaimed, "This is the most wonderful thing ever! John gets an honorary Jewish mother!" A fourth admirer chimed in, "Amazing!! I love her ❤️" before a fellow supporter remarked, "A mom is a mom no matter who ♥️♥️♥️ I know it doesn't need saying, but treat her like the Queen she is and deserves."

One more fan joked, "Anything for her future son-in-law," followed by two more who pointed out the look on Mayer's face. "I love this! And @johnmayer looking on in disbelief!????," one comment read, and the other added, "The look on John's face! ?.”

Even though the Peabody Award winner and Mayer are only buddies, he once implied that he would not mind getting under the sheets with the Connecticut native. In July 2022, he uploaded  an alluring shot of the "Paradise Valley" star on Instagram at a restaurant.

Mayer looked way younger as he posed at a dinner table with both arms folded, drawing attention to his chiseled arms and captivating tattoos. Although he did not smile in the picture, his face was as handsome with no spots or wrinkles. He was also captured staring intently at the camera in the brightly-lit room, definitely causing fans to swoon.

Only the pop icon's upper body was seen in the post, showing him casually dressed for the outing. He wore a simple black shirt and completed the look with a silver watch. Andy, who was possibly behind the camera, captioned the post, "10/10 would smash," and fans were of the same opinion, given the ton of likes the update amassed. 

A few admirers headed to the comments section, including big names like Liam Neeson's son Daniel Neeson, comedian Billy Eichner, and TV personality Golnesa Gharachedaghi who all dropped commending remarks.

Over the past few years, Andy has remained single as he focused on his busy career and caring for his two kids, Benjamin and Lucy. However, he returned to the dating scene last year and opened up about his struggles even with using dating apps.

During the 2022 BravoCon, the 55-year-old, who was part of a panel, discussed his nonexistent love life with "Today's" Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, admitting he needed assistance.

"Daddy needs help," he said, adding that he had already joined several dating apps. In his words, "I'm on Raya. I'm on Tinder. I'm ready to go!"

Andy also touched on his relationship with Anderson Cooper, with whom he has a tight bond. He explained that they were just friends and had never been anything more in the past.
