Drew Sidora is mourning her father's death, Dr. Robert Jordan, who succumbed to Alzheimer's disease. The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is facing this new heartbreak just five months after filing for divorce from her estranged husband of nine years, Ralph Pittman, in March.

Drew Sidora Remembers Her Dad After His Death

The 38-year-old shared a heartfelt Instagram post announcing her father's passing. The message was accompanied by a touching throwback slideshow that captured memories of him. To make the tribute even more moving, she set the clip to the Luther Vandross song "Dance With My Father," which resonates with the feeling of love.

The reality TV star acknowledged in the caption that even though she knew the day was coming, it did not stop the profound pain that accompanied it. "You're never prepared for the inevitable, but here we are…. It is with tears flowing, I announce that my father Dr. Robert A. Jordan has made his transition into Heaven," Sidora wrote to start her lengthy caption. She then shared her mom's sentiment which read:

"As my mom says, He fought a good fight and finished his race, with a smile on his face, he picked up his crown at Heaven's Gate!" 

The actress appreciated her fans for allowing her to open up about her father's journey with memory disease. She also expressed gratitude towards those who have shared their personal experiences of dealing "with a loved one battling Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia." She added:

"I was a Daddy's Girl, and I will cherish the precious memories that will forever live in my heart, and his legacy lives forever!"

The "That's So Raven" star lauded her father's impressive career, hailing him as the "best pediatrician in all of Chicago." She also celebrated his commitment to "helping people, saving lives, and providing quality healthcare to those in the indigent community."

Admitting he "had the most humble and sweetest spirit," she vowed to "celebrate HIS LIFE!!!!!" In conclusion, she thanked everyone again, adding, "I thank God, knowing we will see you, Daddy again!" 

After sharing her post, numerous Bravo colleagues left supportive messages in the comment section. Her "RHOA" co-stars, Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore, commented, "I'm praying for strength for you and your family. 🙏🏾," and "😢😢😢 my prayers to your family during this time. 🙏🏾."

The series alum Porsha Guobadia added, "I'm so sorry! I will Pray for you and your family 😞💔🙏🏾." The TV personality's post was also met with an outpouring of support from her fans. "I'm so sorry Drew. Sending you so much love 🤍," one netizen commented, while another wrote, "Peace and love to you and your family🙏🏾." 

In another update, the "Step Up" actress shared a shorter note with her followers that let them know her family was mourning their patriarch's demise. In it, she emotionally stated, "There are no words to describe the grief in my heart with his passing."

After lauding his many attributes as a "husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and physician," she asked that her family be given privacy during this challenging time.

In June, The Blast reported that since filing from her ex-husband, Sidora has had to navigate the journey of raising their three young children solo. Despite these difficult challenges, she has continued valuing her children's well-being as her top priority while staying "booked and busy." 

In fact, "The Game" star landed a fresh role in the upcoming film "The Pass," produced by her co-star Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker. Maintaining an optimistic perspective, Sidora acknowledged that she had found solace in her work. The mother-of-three shared in an interview:

"But just focusing on work has been good for me. I just finished my fifth movie this year. At the same time, as difficult and challenging as it is, God is definitely knowing what to do and keeping me busy and just showing me blessings and things and reasons to celebrate."

The "Never Die Alone" actress clarified, "My kids keep me busy, and I am strong for them." She expressed her desire to uphold a sense of routine for her children and safeguard them from negative impacts. 

The "What I Like About You" guest star mentioned that channeling her affection and efforts towards them provided an effective diversion.
