Ant Anstead cannot be prouder than he is right now!
The English television presenter had the rare opportunity of playing alongside his son, Archie Anstead, on a soccer pitch during a recent pre-season game.
For the uninformed, Anstead has played the game semi-professionally for almost 20 years, with him and his teammates recently getting crowned as champions in the ongoing pre-season ahead of an upcoming championship tournament.
Ant Anstead Spent Quality Time With His First Child During His Visit From The United Kingdom
When Ant stepped onto the pitch with his eldest son from his first marriage to ex-wife Louise Storey, it was undoubtedly one of the proudest moments of his life. Thus, it made sense when he uploaded a snapshot of him and Archie donning the jerseys of the United States affiliate of Southampton FC.
The father-son duo appeared in the middle of a conversation as they stood opposite each other on the pitch. Beneath the Instagram image, the "Britain's Greatest Invention" star wrote:
"Perfect pre season game today for @footballclubuk in LA. What a privilege to see @archoanstead pull on the jersey and play alongside each other and zoom in….. HOLLYWOOD sign in the background."
Fans gushed over the picture highlighting Archie's visit from the United Kingdom, and one commented, "Father and Son playing soccer together on the same team a special moment in time. Enjoy." A second person claimed to "Love this" while Tarek El Moussa marveled at the teen's height, noting, "He's huge," to which Ant responded, "dude!! Almost 6ft! not a baby anymore."
"Love this and love the relationship you have with all your children," a fourth person declared as a fifth chimed, "Lovely photo of the both of you he's catching up in height with you Ant Anstead." A sixth similarly effused, "That's so cool. What a perfect place to have your photo."
While Ant and Louise also share a daughter, Amelie, the "Wheeler Dealers" co-host has a third child with his second ex-wife, Christina Hall — a son named Hudson London Anstead. Despite the collapse of their union in 2021, the car builder and the "Christina on the Coast" star have remained committed to putting their baby boy first.
As an insider exclusively told Life & Style shortly after the news of their divorce, "They've promised to co-parent their son respectfully without placing blame on either parent. They love their kids."
According to the source, the former lovebirds intended to keep their kids, including Christina's two kids — Taylor and Brayden— from a previous union, connected. In their words, "Custody will be worked out, but Ant doesn't plan on separating Hudson from his siblings."
The 'Chinese New Year: The Biggest Celebration On Earth' Presenter Recently Secured A Soccer Victory
Ant's soccer time with his son is even more sentimental, given that he ended July with a big win in the ongoing pre-season. As The Blast reported, the father-of-three shared a picture emphasizing the happy occurrence to his Instagram Story.
In the photograph, the motor specialist wore a bright smile while standing alongside his teammates; all lined up with their hands resting on each other's shoulders for the camera. He used a spot at the top of the snap to state, "This 44 year old getting ready for the incoming season."
"Decent @footballclubuk pre season game today in the SCORCHING HEAT. 3-1 winners," he added at the bottom.
Ant had previously thrilled his fans with a championship win in May, with his partner, Renée Zellweger, standing supportively on the sidelines as he and his team secured victory. Their shared excitement was evident in images captured at the time, which also showed Zellweger sporting a black shirt, tan cargo pants, black sneakers, and an orange Texas Longhorns cap.
While one slide featured the couple's togetherness during the match, another depicted a tender kiss and embrace between them. When they were not all over each other, Ant's woman took over the role of his personal photographer, clicking away at all the exciting moments of the game in real time.
Meanwhile, the "For the Love of Cars" co-presenter and his teammates celebrated their significant victory by enthusiastically jumping up and down, still clad in their vibrant green jerseys.
